I love this tutorial! Very helpful. I want to make the beach motif in your KZfaq thumbnail for this video. Is that a pattern I can try or buy?

Hello! I just started embroidery and i am wondering why almost all of the video i see with finished pieces stitch at the back with the whole hoop in? Do you guys not take it off? And ate you not supposed to use a hoop again?
@shelbyhurd

Many people use embroidery hoops as a permanent way to display their pieces. I use a cheaper hoop to stitch with, and then transfer my finished project to a more decorative, permanent hoop at the end.

What happens if you want to taper it in at the end? I have seen others use another needle to stabilize horizontally, can you give any advice?

😮 I have these for keeping the pages of my sketchbook open when I am drawing/painting outdoors - to prevent the wind from blowing my pages closed while the ink/paint is wet. I LOVE YOU!

This is an excellent idea! An idea in a different video was a metal plant stand, that may be better for punch needling, but possibly still worth a try.

Thank you so much! I ended up doing the blanket stitch but instead of felt on the back I just used a thin cotton cloth and it turned out beautiful!

This is a fantastic idea. I seem to end up with a big knotted mess from my left over floss. So thinking I really need to do this for mine. I don't like throwing away left overs when I can save them and use it. Great tutorial.
