All modern chairs like this do this. They are supposed to be egonomic but they are the cause of back injuries. It is a teriible design failure.

I have multiple office chairs with this same issue. This is the first video I've found that explains how to fix it. As I don't have a lathe I will be forced to search for sets of compatible bushings and pins, but understanding the problem is the first step. Thanks!

How do I adjust the belt tensioner on a 605h vermeil baler
@davidcantrell313 Жыл бұрын
Once the tool drops in behind the seal could I drive the shaft back trough driving the seal out?
@RogersFixItBarn Жыл бұрын
yes you could drive the shaft up against the tool and drive the part holding the seal out. I did not know how tight the part was pressed in and did not want to damage the shaft.

Bearings are ok and turning fine, no heat coming from them. I saw on the Vermeer site where folks were commenting on the same problem, some said if baler had sat for awhile sometimes the belts wouldn’t turn and you could feed hay into baler and put some tension on the belts and they would start up. The guy that had this baker said it was running fine the last time he used it which looks like about 10 years ago! I see the indicator up on the front of baler that you spoke of, and was wondering if that was the bale size indicator, thanks for telling me that. And the guy also said something to me about weaving right to left when bailing. One of the comments said that he didn’t recommend it but sometimes you can put the baler in idle and try and pull the belts and they would start moving, I know this is not safe and I was very cautious but I tried this and they still would not turn. Anyway, thanks for your help and if you ever show the actual bailing and how to watch the indicator and how you strings tie works I’d be interested in seeing it. You mentioned your tie was hydraulic, this one is electric and looks a lot like yours from what I can see. I think it has set so long that it is froze up. I had sprayed several de- rusters on it but no action yet!
@marklarman77062 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed watching you fix the belt, good demonstration for it, I have ran across one of these balers and would’ve enjoyed seeing you bale the hay and see what you watch in order to stop a bale and tie it. Also would’ve enjoyed seeing the electric tie work and just how it operates. This Vermeer 504F has sat for awhile and the belts are not turning when PTO is engaged. I have read comments on other pages that this has been a problem with others and to feed some hay into it and the belts will then start to turn. That may be a good or bad thing, that will be fine if that works but it won’t be fun if I have to dig all that hay back out of it cause it won’t work! Any suggestions?
@RogersFixItBarn2 жыл бұрын
The Vermeer should turn the belts all the time when it is closed. check all the bearings to make sure they are not getting hot. Your belts may be too long if they are not turning check that. my baler had a hydraulic cylinder that moved the string to wrap it and was controlled by hand. There is a pointer on the left side when looking from the tractor. The arm moves up as the bale is formed and indicates how large the bale is getting. Note when starting a bale weave from side to side to get the core to build even. Good Luck

I had the same problem got the new seals in but were do I add the fluid?
@RogersFixItBarn2 жыл бұрын
The hydraulic fluid is the gear oil in your transmission rear end. Mine has a dip stick in the fill hole.
