McGoohan, the highest paid actor working in the UK in the 1960's. £2k a week, about £57k in 2024 money. Worth every penny, a true chameleon and did everything with conviction.

(( 🎄 )) for sure here, i so do miss watching this christmas commercial and other holiday commercials on television from back in the day. I wish they could put all the other holiday commercials back on television again, the way they use to do them. Here's to Good times, great memories and great entertainment. I wish I was back in the 80s again

Wish it wasn’t called the ‘stanky brown group’…. makes it awkward when requesting songs. “Hey play that one song! By… by the stanky..the Stanky Brown Group!” while the person just looks at you like “wtf? The stanky who?”

I’ve always wondered who came up with the brilliant concept of the shadowy figure with the flashlight and the blood red night sky. The guy wears a bowler hat/derby so I figure there’s a nod to famous British sleuths but I may be wrong.

As a kid, I thought Peter was way too young to drink coffee. Seemed only "old" people drank coffee back then, like my grandparents. Still love this classic commercial!

Smoking stinks. Makes you smell. Ladies never smoke. Don't burn your money away grannie, unbelievable you smoke. You and Jed haven't learned the value of having opulence yet. This is 2024. You're all deceased except for Jethro apparently.

They should have kept this closing theme for the duration of the series. When they changed it slightly for later seasons it wasn’t as good.

The reason some people think there was no "Filmways presentation" tag at the end of PJ was for many years, the "Viacom presentation" tag was shown at the end instead of the original Filmways tag.
