Will that only work with Garage Door Openers that support Homelink?

The mirror uses Homelink version 3. Bobsmirrors.com sells them and they state some newer garage door openers with a yellow antenna and yellow learn button will need a repeater installed to work. Virtually all older openers should work no problem. My garage is a from a company called “overhead door” and is over 30 years old. Works perfect for me.

I would like to know how you so easily turned loose of your Pro after all the upgrades? Guess it was because of all the issues. I'm looking at a Platinum, but having trouble turning loose of my Pro. I want to keep them both, but obviously, not feasible.

@@taknmyshot my truck was bought by ford as a lemon. It was in the shop for over 50 days in the year and a half that I had it. There was a process I had to go through to do it but ford approved it. I removed everything that I could easily take off. The more integrated systems I just left. Someone actually reached out to me recently and said they found my truck for sale in North Carolina. I believe he bought it but haven’t heard from him since.

So you saved money by buying a non-compatible charger, with lots of add-on expenses. Genius. And, contrary to your comment, Lectron is not an approved (UL) item. They have also had recalls based on some really bad engineering. Tesla specifically recommends not using Lectron or A2Z connectors.

I have a gas f150 and my range is 680 miles. 😂 jk jk great video man. I’ve always been interested in the lightnings. I wish I could get one but I drive way too far all the time. When the range gets into the 500s I could consider one

I believe your old truck is on auto trader now. It’s listed at $35,999. Looks like it ended up in North Carolina at Capitol Ford dealer there. I can’t provide the auto trader link here but a quick google should bring it up. VIN is 1FTVW1EL6PWG00106 and it’s a ford lighting 2023 pro with lariat steering wheel, front led and black stickered f150 decals. Its carfax is marked as lemon buyback from Villa ford in SoCal. So I believe it’s yours. If your curious as to what ford actually did with it. 😂

By the way, I got mine for $36,000 for a fully transferable warranty because it was certified preowned was only 11,000 miles on it. Warranty is good till 2032 so I could not be happier.

Hey. Sorry to bother you. I have a 2023 F150 Lightning Lariat extended range that I bought 3 months ago. And of those 3 months my truck has been at the dealership for two months . Failed modem (can’t do no updates and no access to ford pass app)and they still can’t fix it. I’m 1 month into my buy back process. I’ve documented everything and the EV Ford Rep was impressed and said he saw no issues with my buy back but couldn’t technically tell me that. You said they gave you what the vehicle cost without incentive, what about taxes and dealer fees did you get that back as well? I’m getting another 23 Lightning it a platinum this time. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

@@csccerdafied hey no problem. Yes I got back taxes and fees as well. They do subtract a mileage fee. Mine was based on the first time I took it in to the dealer for warranty work (around 3000 miles). I think they took off about 1000$ on mine. When you factor in incentives though I came out way way ahead.

@@csccerdafied nice. From here if memory serves me right they will put together an offer. Things should move quicker now. Once you get the offer you can either accept or take a payout where you keep the truck but they write you a check as a sort of apology. If you accept the buyout a rep from your local dealer will coordinate the exchange. Mine took about a week to call me and I handed it over a couple days later. When you drop off the truck they will hand you a check. That’s pretty much it.

This was so very helpful on how to remove the front bumper. I hit a deer in my '22 lariat edition and it wiped out the "shutters" ( I would have called them baffles) along with some of the trim. Removing the front bumper was counterintuitive and I wouldn't have been able to do it without your video. Thank you so much for taking the time to make and post this video!!

Nice. I actually bought a 23 Platinum that was repurchased by Ford. Bought it through a Dealer in Kansas. Built in 10 /23. Had a new battery installed and then it was hit by hail. Really the only damage was the hood and tonneau cover. I bought a new hood through my job for 375 bucks and had a body shop paint it to match for 560 bucks. And save over 40k off of list price. So far, it's been a gem!

So I contacted my dealer regarding this to see if they would add this to my vehicle. They said my vehicle is not retrofitted with the accessories required to convert it into adaptive basically saying that I don't have the sensor on top of the rear view mirror to be able to facilitate this. Do y'all think they're bullshitting just so they don't have to do it? Or is there a way to check if I have the proper equipment for adaptive cruise control

I have the Ford liners that I purchased through my dealer. Husky liners seemed too plasticy. I didn’t want to spend the money for Weather Tech. But these Lasfit certainly look better than the Ford liners. Lasfit ones look like I could do less vacuuming. I’m going to check them out. Especially with a discount code. Thanks!

Yep module one replaced. Now my truck only charges to 87%. Dealer says it will fix itself after a number of recharge cycles. Did you experience this?

you have 1000s of dollars in wires and adapters and I spent nothing for 100 amp charger. This video is not for everyone. Just those plugging in a mobile charger to a nema outlet. Not the way to go.

lol spending money not necessary. ford gives you a pro charger for free with extended battery. having mine hard wired tomorrow 100 amps. who needs a mobile charger. its for in a pinch. not recommended for everyday charging. duh

I’d say so. Total cost for me was about $400 and about 6-7 hours of my time. Cost from a dealer or an upholster likely would have been $1500+.

Highly unlikely. While I did mess with some of the software. All I did was basically just turn on features that the truck already had. Almost every part I added was genuine ford. Nothing I messed with had anything to do with the battery. The battery issue is a known problem with certain lightnings. So no i didn’t get any grief from the dealer or ford corporate.

There was a bunch of weird stuff with pricing at the time I got my pro. Just figured I’d gloss over it instead of trying to break it down. In short the buyback amount was a tick over $55k.

Which home wall charger i should use for mach e ?? Ford connected charge system or tesla universal charger ….or i am been lot about emporia hardwire is it good??? Please suggest i am confused

There’s no wrong choice as they all would work great. It’s just personal preference. If you want to future proof get the Tesla universal. If you want the best value get the emporia. If you want to keep everything in the ford family get the ford connected.
