Thank you. I was 8 years old when Mt. Pinatubo erupted. I remember the ashes had tiny crystals in them and I was tasked to collect them for my mother to sell. I remember the APO head statue vividly. I dont remember any of the buildings because i didn't know how to read or speak english yet, but thanks for the memories.

The first time that I was in Olongapo City was 1980, the second time was 1982.

Ahhh, to be a young man strolling down Magsaysay Blvd, having a cold San Miguel and hearing those words "You got girlprend in Fee Eye?"

I was stationed at Cubi Pt the last 3 years it was open. Mt Pinatubo was a scary time. And it was a mess. It was totally dark in the middle of the day.

There are so many great memories. It's such a sad ending. Breaks my heart. Thank you for sharing.

I was stationed there 1970-1971 + at Cubi Point and lived close to Whites Beach. Sin city at it’s best! What a experience!!

63 now. I have a poor memory but I remember a Shakeys Pizza. It was late 1980 I believe. I wish I could relive my time there. Wonderful people and so much fun.

I was there 72-73 aboard the USS Ponchatoula. It was funny all the girls knew when we would be back in port before we knew. Loved that place.

I was there in 1972 when it was under Marshall Law when I was 17. When from a upper middle class to olongapo. What a shock. Had a blast and my goodness i was so young.

Here it is, 2022.. Looking at these, I have seen the changes.. I was a 17 year old boy, in the Navy, back in 1972.. That was my first Christmas away from home.. I almost went back.. But life has other plans.. I miss the times and wonderful people..

I saw vias. That was the best. Tacos with banana Ketchup. If I remember right via was married to Richard Gordon which is the name of the street and he is a long time senator now and running for president now. And he was chairman of SBMA before too. I've lived in Southern Philippines for a long time now but I still have a home in olongapo. It's just weird how much that place has changed. I plan to go back for another visit this year.

I would like to see these videos because of background music and melodious songs. Very soothing to heart and mind. I stayed in Manila for 15 days for trying at Asian Institute of Management. I used to go to Landmark mall. I enjoyed my training and stay.
