I would never put frozen food into a warm tube. But a tube that's been fairly cool, I haven't personally had issues with. It's also very rare for me to put frozen food in anyway. I try to eat fresh goods if possible.

@@babydoll0884That's awesome! 2 more Q's if you don't mind: 1) Do you know the cook time comparison between the fusion and kit (with same volume)? I have a Fusion, husband makes small amounts of salmon in it, wondering if would take less time in kit (or Go). 2) Have you tried to boil water in the kit? Thanks!
@babydoll0884Ай бұрын
@sheryl3268 no worries about questions. That's why I have this. Channel. The tube on for the go/kit is very small. So heat up time will be less than the fusion which takes about 20 mins in heat up time alone. The fusion takes about 45 minutes for cooking food that wasn't frozen when placed in tray to cook. Food that is not frozen when placed in tray and put in the tube in the kit should average around 20 mins if used correctly.

Just received my gosun sport oven 4 days ago. As a test, I loaded up frozen broccoli, frozen green beans & frozen mushrooms right from the freezer into the gosun sport. Adding a little butter on top of the veggies and on a layer of parchment paper, they were ready to eat in about 40 minutes at full sunlight 10am start time. Black containers might help them cook faster. But in a cloudy day, it's good it cooked at all. I bought also a "folding one like from a car sunscreen" out of curiosity (I have 4 Gosun products, the 2 I've tried worked well in full sun) and I think that or a box type would either not heat up enough in those conditions or possibly not enough to barely measure. Too much dispersion and not enough sun to counter it.

Annoying. Any idea why it cracked?
@babydoll08845 ай бұрын
Excellent question. It was user error. I was attempting home-made corn dogs, and I think it was on a hill that was tipping down. As such the batter filled the end of the tube. With it being the sport and cooking so fast and me not greasing the tube (I wasn't expecting it to act this way. ) it filled the tube and burned hard against the glass. I didn't realize that happened and when I was moving to pull the tray from the tube, it was stuck. I used a little more force because I thought the tray expanded with the batter. This caused the tube to burst in my hand.
@SolarCookingGermany5 ай бұрын
@@babydoll0884 Thanks. Looks like it's not a good idea to make expanding foods in the tiny models.
@babydoll08845 ай бұрын
@@SolarCookingGermany I wouldn't say that being more aware of how level the surface is was more of the culprit. Had it been on a level surface, there shouldn't have been enough batter to expand to the tube. It would have barely covered the hot dogs and rose above the tray sides. @babydoll08846 ай бұрын
It's relatively new from my understanding. I didn't know it was on site till someone mentioned it in the gosun kitchen group on Facebook. The differences are that, it's no longer a self contained set up, so assembly is indeed required each use (unless you keep it covered between uses), however the reflective panels have more surface area that will heat the vacuum tube faster which cooks the food faster. It's essentially a "go" sized tube with the cook speeds of the sport.
