I'm pretty sure that Barlow, the half-Iorphian guy, is the son of the eldar Rashine. That would explain her advise about not falling in love with a human in the beginning and why Barlow is always so sarcastic. Rashine must have had a true romantic love story with a human and when her son left her and her beloved man died of old age she felt alone for the first time...

I just finished watching it like literal seconds ago and I probably will have typos in this comment or not because wof auto correction but God my eyes are still leaking with tears, this anime wrecked me it made think of the moments with my parents and that should always treasure them because one day they will be gone. I should treasure them. Always. All of us should treasure them with everyasting seconds we have of them.

no anime movie (besides ride your wave) has ever made me sob this hard. that flash back hit me so hard i couldn’t do anything but cry. i watched this a couple months ago and still tear up thinking about it sometimes. what a masterpiece

no movie has made me tear up or cry, then i saw this with my mum i was absolutely broken. especially by the end, i then had a heart to heart talk with mum and told her how much i appreicate her and what shes done. this movie really makes you think and often you will make connections to it and parrallels to your own life. Treasure your parents, they have done much for you. Remember they wont be here forever.
