This is.old I know but I just stumbled on it. I have to disagree, while Bushwacker is the best bucking bull and IMHO the best ever....the fiercest bull ever hands down was Bodacious. He'll they retired him because know one wanted to ride him after.he messed up Tuff. Even Stuff declined. Ok carry on.

They get used to it. It's part of their job, it's in their blood and the most natural thing for them to do. It's honestly not any different from breaking horses or training dogs. You think those animals are 100% willing? As long as the animal's not hurt there's not much to say

the bulls are a costly investment for bull riding; they are nothing like pasture cattle that are raised for our consumption. I would hope that the relevant associations, owners, sponsors, livestock vets, and the riders themselves would refuse to tolerate working with abused, sick, or neglected animals. Their livelihoods depend on these animals thriving and being able to "perform" each week. They cannot do that if they are ill. And I hope there's no way to force a bull to perform if it's being mistreated, etc.
@pitgroove.37_66

Bucking in rodeos actually runs in the bloodline for both bucking bulls and bucking bronc. In order to perform in a rodeo, the animal can't be forced to Buck; it has to WANT to buck. It's like the world famous phrase "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink".

Rodeo bulls are treated better than most people's dogs they get fresh feed and water every day where people's dogs get food in a bowl that lasts a week and water that gets dirty in a bowl and ill bet you walk right by it and never change it till the dog dumps it out its self

@@pitgroove.37_66 Bulls are not meant to buck relentlessly for the amusement of people. That is a LOT of weight coming down on their hooves. Just picture that for a second, if it were you in that position. Would you like it if someone decided they were going to ride your back just to amuse others? Would you condone humans doing this to other humans? On a serious note, would you? There's a simple rule....if you wouldn't do it to another person, don't do it to an animal. Unless you just don't give a fuck. In which case, you're just ignorant and self-centered.

@@adrunkgorillawithalobotomy353 That's your opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. You do not own ANY of the animals. You are neither a stock contractor nor are you a cowboy/contestant. You are basing your OPINION on your limited experience. You are closed off to any other opinions or facts-- you are allowing your ignorance and bias to color your OPINION. That's too bad, but not Much of a revelation. People like you are everywhere; voicing your OPINIONS on subjects that you know nothing about. @@adrunkgorillawithalobotomy353 You are wrong. Rodeo bulls love what they do. Just watch how they avoid stepping on a rider or really hitting any of the clowns. Some are nasty, sure, but that's just because they get into it so much. Rodeo bulls live a life of encouragement and never experiencing defeat. Intimidation or mistreatment would be totally insane. Same with broncs...and I mean ditto...great food, medical care, exercise. Why don't you worry about their beef cattle cousins who are kept confined for the first 18 months just fed, no exercise, then butchered. It's like raising 12 year old kids for food. Or perhaps their dairy cousins being artificially inseminated so they can lactate and their newborn can become veal. I wonder if they still do the technique they did when I was a kid: kill the calf, eat it and stuff the skin and bring it back up to the mother's udders to initiate lactation. Social Justice warriors like you....Whether it's guns or abortion or alcohol or drugs or animal abuse: you want to find the person most clueless about that subject? Go find those trying to prohibit it.

This event is not really one of the sport's standard events, because the dally roping is so difficult that I much prefer the hard and fast method of roping as that's the real easier way to tie a rope to the saddle horn as calves are easier to rope than steers, got it?

Wild bucking Brahman bulls are entirely different for bullfighting bulls in Spain. A bucking wild Brahman---tossing, turning, twisting, leaping in the air and trying to throw the rider off his back---is the star of every rodeo. The rodeo is more than an exhibition of bucking bulls.

In steer-wrestling contests the cowboy rides his horse close to a running steer. A the proper moment he leaps from his horse to the back of the steer. The horse dashes speedily off to one side as the cowboy tries to pin the steer to the ground in as short a time as possible.
