The calipers are just Brembo 18z that were fitted to the Porsche Cayenne, and the caliper brackets from Epytech (you'll find them on their website). They're very helpful and ensured I had all the required items, Inc the T4 brake lines. All the best!

Thanks Kent, hope all is great with you😁 It's right up there as one of my most favorite cars I've owned: it even has the edge on build quality of my e39 M5 and Alpina B10, the practicality (if not the absolute cargo space) of the V70R and the performance of a (stock!) 9000 Aero, but with a properly iconic engine and a lovely exhaust note - and of course all-weather traction that the others would not get anywhere near. I reckon 350 - 375bhp would be the sweet-spot for this as a properly rapid but unstressed and reliable daily, which actually isn't that expensive to obtain: it's pretty much the same recipe and cost as 9000 tuning.

Hi, thanks for the comment, it is indeed a very special car: Im very happy to have decided not to sell this in the end! It's currently having a suspension refresh (nothing drastic, just Bilstein B8's / Eibach springs / top mounts and bushes). Since this video it also now has a Supersprint system, so no longer 100% stock, but OEM+, and more enjoyable for it. All the best I believe that the run-out models were all Plus Spec, but I may well be wrong - I should do some research.

G'day from OZ, yes she was a lovely car, but at the end of the day well done you for at least saving her. You mention in your roundup whilst sitting in the Audi that you'd sold the 9000 Aero, I must have missed some of your links to this SAAB re its selling etc? I've just bought one here, a 5-speed in silver, in stunning condition, no rust etc, I'm only the 3rd owner - the 2nd had it for 21 years, he never missed a service, always garaged. My first SAAB.

@@marknelson5929 hey, that 9000 of yours sounds stunning - what a find! Enjoy that, such a great car, and to get a rust-free car is a real bonus: they are old cars now, and rust is one of the biggest factors for those still available. They don't tend to rust badly, but certainly over here in the UK, those windscreen pillars, front wings and rear underside / arch areas are prone. About 7 years ago they were selling for as little as £500, with good useable roadworthy Aeros as little as £1200, so any welding required means that people gave up on them and stripped them for spares (I did that to at least 3...) to recoup the purchase price / make a small profit. Now with so few 9000s left in the UK market, values are now much higher. Yes, my 9000 video is in this chanel somewhere!

I lived in the UK for 20 odd years and got to know how well classics can rust over there, the complete opposite to here in many ways. Depending upon where you live in Oz like near the coast etc cars can rust, but in most cases you'd be hard pressed to find a bad one. Generally the bodies are great but it's the trim and plastics suffer due to the heat. The 9000 Aero is pretty rare here (autos seem to out number manuals), I looked at a few over the years and most were simply tired and in only one instance found a tiny bit of rot in the windscreen frame in one area. The one I have I jumped on when it came up 4 sale, the seller said his phone ran hot. He produced a very good advert, plenty of photos and a fairly detailed service history - its condition in the flesh matched the advert which is how you want to buy a car.

It was truly magical to see that car suddenly puff back into existence and it won't even really matter if it ends up on a scrap heap after, it will have still blown our minds to be alive in any form. If I'm being totally brutally honest, I was always a bit sad that the previous owner modified it from how it was from factory. I personally think it looked better all in one tone.
