Great video! Could you explain why you're ending light combos with light hasho? Trying to understand what you're trying to set up or what read you're trying to make

Im not sure about his thought process but l hasho has little pushback and is+2 on hit. You can continue your pressure and frametrap easily after a hit. Light combos are heavily scaled so it's not too much of a loss to use hasho instead of a dp and if you happen to drop the combo ur safe at -3

@@eatdahl I actually think Bison isn't that broken anymore besides his unscaled bomb and scissors damage in combos. If they patched the scaling, I think Bison is perfect where he is. Bison is actually anti meta for the current top tiers - those with great neuch or skip neutral thanks to excellent fireballs, excellent crMK, and/or great DR (ie. Guile, Rashid, Akuma, Chun, DJ, Juri). Even Ken's great crMK is neutered thanks to Bison's scissor kicks. However I think he won't do as well against non meta chars ie. Lily, Manon, Gief, Ed, Kim, Honda, and even Ryu - not saying he loses tho. Because Ryu is actually a bit different from the usual shoto archetype in SF6 - his fireball is ok, his crMK is ok, but he is great at close range thanks to throw loops, fHP, hasho, close range drive damage, trade combos.

How do you hit so many drive rushes? Seems like every time I try to rush I whiff a parry and leave myself open, the pressure completely drops.

hey there. I assume you're talking about raw drive rush right? the normal input for raw drive rush is holding both medium buttons and then pressing forward twice. what you can do is: tap forward, then forward + both mediums at the same time to get your drive rush out immediately. this will also cost less drive, because you are going into the rush instead of holding Parry into Rush. if you're asking about Drive rush out of a cancel-able normal, once the normal touches the opponent either press forward twice or drive parry input (both mediums). I believe you can also buffer the input for drive rush. that way if the normal whiffs nothing happens and if it hits, drive rush happens. hope that helps

11:07 "As a Ryu player you have to walk in a lot" - word. I find that when I'm struggling it's always because I am not bringing the neutral to my opponent and demanding that they play it. Even in diamond you can walk people to the corner because they are so uncomfortable up close. Ryu must play neutral to get those big hits with HP and solar plexus.
