i had a 69 LTD, fully loaded with a 429. long story short. i got into a drag race on my wedding day on my way to the wedding. the engine blew up in the process. needless to say i was late and everybody thought i beat feet out of town. but no the guy i raced was pretty cool he turned around and gave me a lift 20 miles across town to the church.a week after the honeymoon i tore into the engine and did a full on rebuild. of course i was only 18 ( yes i married young,but this is the short version).so i enlisted the help of an old gear head. here i am 40 years later still working on cars and have done 3 restorations 2 cars and a motorcycle. that old LTD was one of my favorite cars i had ever owned. i was hoping to see the fender badge denoting engine size in the video as that was probably my favorite thing on the car, but i don't guess it was thought of. thanks for the walk around.

Not sure a 'cold start' counts w/ when your keeping your bike indoors at 71 degrees... LOL....the chirp is the nature of the beast .. It's a beaut .last MY run w/ the Speed Triple SSSA short , 'smooth' clutch case, graphite frame/silver wheels. Nice SkyKing reg plate holder.. he still sells parts IIRC just closed down his website ..best reg plate holder for the Daytona ..very nice.. I have a 2005 . swapped the original SSSA for the latter MY Daytona 955/Speed Triple part. Def handles better.. Skyking reg plate holder, I found OEM genuine carbon sail and cockpit fill panels. What I learned is that Triumph offered these in 2002 MY only..after many prototypes they were found very very labor intensive to produce so they ended up using a carbon 'look' overlay over the plastic part. ..I swapped out the gear shift detent arm, wheel etc for a roller bearing Sprint GT 'linear' set up-shifts 100% smmother ..unbiquitous TOR exhaust w/ a custom subframe bracket as the OEM kit "skeleton' bracket didn't allow the mid pipe to fully seat into header and canister, custom Clive Wood map...he worked for Jack Lilley, BSB, IOMTT, raced a pair of 2002 Daytona 955s DSSAs in UK Thunderbike series, I geared it down 17/46 sprox.. Union Jack nose which I just found NOS in Netherlands ... Triumph accessory gel seat. 9800 miles.. great roadgoing sportbike. inexpensive parts, insurance.. gear it down and it's wicked quick .built to last UK winters .. Good luck .. let us know what you got for it if you can..

That there is the stuff I'm talking about weirdo stuff that came out of Detroit in the scrap bins cause they had to sell them at probably that low insurance too company's had to eat instead of you got a deal from the lot ahhh damn you OPEC damn you I'll drive you silly in my beast in the town with my terrible gas economy truth be known you can take a big ol sedan and make it good fuel economy friendly just by turning it a a little. Fatter with a bigger carb and a hotter spark not to mention if you degee in a stock cam to crunch performance you can have something good in the drive thru .The cars by Plymouth and Dodge made sat in showrooms until like 72 they couldt sell a gas Swizzler on Monday the cars they sell sat out of garages until the insurance's would just about murder you for having the best stuff shot out Detroit in the mid to late 50s alltheeven some of the smog machines in the late eighties. I wish I would have had a lot of money from 71 to 83 in the classic machines I'm takin all the goodies because I saw a lot on certain models of cars the would barbecue the lives out out of people to see this is the shit you could of had and the insurance would never know about the bean counters could keep counting the mess it makes I say give the people what they want make it affordable safe and doesn't take a couple mathematician to get more power with out going insane so even the dork with no money can have and not be left out of the grind. I hear you could have got a ac Cobra for 8000. 00 flat but couldn't imagine the cost of matince and the damn insurance would kill the ones that got a fender replacement and the scaped because that would unsafe I wonder what Ralph Nader had to say about it I thought the ac cobras were like 40,000 dollars back then damn I hate being wrong considering they cost more than a top shelf corvettes in today's money I'm pretty sure it was almost a fuckin dream of finding an insurance that would acceptable for certain company's I bet you had to pay if you want it to be alright you'd had to pay guessing but about 1500.00 in a month to gas insure and maintain that problem be you probably have to get a title for an extreme exotic or a fuckin skyscaper

Mine was a similar color but was a convertible. I will always regret getting rid of her. Her name was Christine because she was a total sweetheart of a car but could be one bad bitch. 327 with a edlebrock 600 carb and a power glide. Not a stoplight car at all with 3.08 gears but hang on going down the freeway cuz she fucking flew. Hope she’s in good hands now.

If the Brakes need a pump for them to work properly, I suggest you bleed the wheel cylinders and clear out any air, why would you Sell a car with Bad Brakes?
@JACHASEGSO
@JACHASEGSO 11 ай бұрын
The car stops well. It stops better with one pump. I am disclosing this so there's no surprise. The next owner can bleed them if they want. THE BRAKES ARE NOT BAD. The car is 81 years old.....Thanks for your opinion.

That high pitched chirping noise.... you can hear particularly well as it cranks over, before its drowned out by the exhaust. You have a vacuum leak on the throttle bodies. Either the rubber manifolds or the IACV hoses. Tighten the clamps on the throttle body manifolds and check/replace the IVAC hoses. That noise will be gone, it will idle smoother and there will be better throttle response.
@plap.

it is fine. That is how they sound. Mine had 67mi on it with no leak issues guaranteed. Just nature of the beast
