One of the nicest unrestored 1964 Chevy Impala Super Sports in existence. One repaint in the 80’s to a very high standard, everything else is original. Azure Aqua with White and Blue interior and a factory White Vinyl Top. 327/250 horse with a Powerglide. Factory AC, PS, PB, AM Pushbutton radio. Factory tissue dispenser and Accessory Ash Tray. One word-Incredible!

In 1979 I bought a 64 Impala hardtop fir $200.00 dollars. It was all white with black interior. 283 with Powerglide and factory air conditioning. Wish I still owned it.

I had money down on one of these and ordered it too. I dreamed of it for weeks, because back in the day one had to order a car and wait. The dreams turned into a real nightmare. I received a registered letter from President Johnson, it began , “ Greetings from the president of the United States” . It was my draft notice! The dealer cancelled the request but refused to return my $500 deposit, even after I showed him the letter. So off to boot camp I went for 13 weeks, then AIT for 4 weeks. My next letter of dread came in the form of my orders to report to Viet Nam in 10 days. One good turn of events, I survived Nam. My second tour was Germany where things took a turn for the better. In a conversation with my CO I told him of the 64 Impala and how I lost it. He mist have had connections in Congress, because a few weeks later I received a registered check from General Motors for $500. When I got out in 1968 and came home I bought that Impala, but it was a 1962 Impala, a Cherry collectors car. My CO put me in touch with him just before I left Germany. I currently own a 2008 Impala , yeah its 16 years old with 175,000 miles on it. I am the only owner. After a lifetime of car buying I am still an Impala lover.

First car I rode in was a 1964 Chevy Biscayne 4 door sedan. That's what my dad drove my mother and I home from the hospital with in February of 1967, 3 days after I was born. I bought a '64 Impala 4 door sedan in 1993, but didn't have it very long. The heater core leaked and I was planning to have it replaced, but the original 283 2-barrel engine was using oil at the rate of a quart every 200 to 250 miles. It wasn't leaking anywhere, so I knew it would probably need an overhaul. I wish I had sank the money into it to get those things done, but at the time I didn't want to mess with it. Thanks for posting this video, James Chase. Beautiful car. I hope whoever gets it leaves it original. I've seen too many classics ruined by ugly aftermarket crap:(

My cousin had one back around 1970. It was a Super Sport, factory AC, factory AM/FM radio, power windows, tilt wheel etc, etc. The only downside was that from what I can remember it looked more like the one Cheech and Chong drove in Cheech and Chongs Next Movie then this one. After that he ended up with a super nice 1968 Caprice that had every option, including hideaway headlights and strato bucket seats with console and auxiliary guages.

Mine was a similar color but was a convertible. I will always regret getting rid of her. Her name was Christine because she was a total sweetheart of a car but could be one bad bitch. 327 with a edlebrock 600 carb and a power glide. Not a stoplight car at all with 3.08 gears but hang on going down the freeway cuz she fucking flew. Hope she’s in good hands now.

sold a ,64 Impala ss 44000 miles for(burgundy )$450 because the linkage kept getting stuck here to get under the car and pulled on the linkage .. sold to my buddy in 1971 he kept that car until 2003 and wouldn't tell me what he sold it for 😢 he said I would choke him😂 2:53

Yes, 63' was the last year for the generator, and 64' was the first year for the vinyl top option.

@@JACHASEGSO I beg to differ sir. My parents had a '64 Impala station wagon with the 283 and I had a '65 Chevelle SS also with the 283. Both used generators. And in all my years, I've never seen a '64 with a vinyl top.

Very nice 1964 Chevy Impala to bad it has a power glide 2spd slush box and not a four speed manual transmission also that A/C and vinyl top has to go otherwise it's a great car !

Correct, was put on at the dealer. I have a personal 64' SS with the same rocker moldings. Owned it since 1989...Not saying it's "right" but a lot of dealers added them...
