Pryor was Mayorga 30 years earlier. No boxing skills, just crazy power punches and on speed. Nobody talks about in legacy talk. I'm 56 and grew up in the game.

Pryor could box when he wanted to and when necessary. He was a master at creating angles and he had excellent foot work to create leverage and power with either hand .Which he demonstrated in both fights with Alexis Arguello. He was undefeated as a champion. His only loss came in his ill attempt at making a comeback after a long layoff where he physically and mentally abused his mind and body.Im 66 and knew the Hawk personally!

@@landrewilkinson7993 Hawks only claim to fame beating Arguello going up in weight, speed in his water with Panama Luis, and no legacy fights other than beating Arguello. Lots of drugs and other things too. Nobody talks about him. He was a champ and that's it.

@miamiman3058 What kinda water did he drink in the rematch Because he beat the brakes off Alexis.and if memory serves me correctly Pryor was winning the first fight before he knocked out dude.Hawk was undefeated as a champion. Folks that know nothing about the sport of boxing were saying that same shit about Crawford. Who did he beat to win his belts

@@landrewilkinson7993 Who da f*** has Crawford fought??? Another nobody. Hawk was good that's it. He has NO LEGACY. And Arguello went up in weight and Arguello had over 65 fights when he fought Pryor. When Pryor died nobody talked about him. And currently nobody talks about him unless you black, homeless, or a druggie.

I never understood why people thought Hearns had a glass jaw. He was only counted out once. Only dropped by three fighter's and two of them were more from his legs gone. Sugar Ray Leonard hit Tommy with twenty eight unanswered 👊 punches and Tommy didn't go down. He went mono mono with Hagler in that classic first round. Took Marvelous Marvin's best shots and didn't flinch. He definitely didn't have a glass jaw!!!

A trainer can see plenty from both guys , one being Hearns at 17 and the elder Pryor at 21 in this fight. Amazing time in the sport when you could consider Wilfred Benitez won his first world title at 18. Arron at 21 in todays world would have won a title, being 21 as an Armature is not common. Either way both of these guys never met as a pro, possibly because of weight divisions, but Aaron definitely made himself apparent to invade a Sugar ray press conference to invoke his name in the hat. Three greats to mention Hearns, Pryor, Leonard all had Huge memorable title fights with others and even with each other and when the real men fought 15 rounds placed their hearts in the ring with the greats for sure. HOF for all of them.
