I would love to try the superblast 2, but I can never find them in stock in my size anywhere. I know it’s a popular shoe, but I wish asics would supply more shoes for people to buy.

I've done 3 half marathon races and some training sessions in these this year and although the foam feels good and responsive, my gripe is the tounge. Why did NB make it so short? At the end of every run I've got laces on my foot instead of the tounge.....Why didn't they gusset it and make it longer?

I used to love soft shoes but as a heavier runner find I sink in too much and the really soft ones don't return that sink in. How's the Sb2 over the sb?

That new balance Balos outsole is ugly as hell

Are u related to sagasu running.because everytime im watching ur video it seems u and sagasu are twins. Specially when u both wearing a cap. Also when comparing the shoes is significantly very detailed and very informative.

Balos or Mach?

Both shoes interesting I never had an acics normally nb or hoka which one would you steer me toward I do have lower back issues and my hoka bondi I had to go up a half size and wide links still rubs :( also the acids more stable then a Clifton I tend to sink snd not feel secure. I do supination and have a med to hi arch., and hi cute ruby

I have both of these shoes and they are at the top of my list. They are different enough to warrant having both and maybe nothing else. Writing this before you reveal your pick, my pick is Balos and the reason is that I love doing everything in it, not just running. I love just warring it around for no reason, it’s that nice. It might not be as fast as the SB2, but it is emjoyable and fat enough to get good workouts in and I run well in it almost as well as the SB2. Btw, I get more rubbing in the upper From the SB2. Good review

the Balaos outsole is doing the same thing as my 880v14. Team Superblast!

How does the MagMax compare Superblast 2? Considering it for a heavier relative who wants to start walking longer distances. Would like to keep their joints happy, hopefully with some propulsion/responsiveness.

Durability should be great on the SB, not a dent in my v2 so far and the v1 after 700 km still in great shape, a little wear on the outsole but midsole still great where the NB SC trainer v1 was done after 500 km.

I’m out of luck, ASICS refuses to make super shoes for size 14 and my big toe keeps hitting the hard plastic piece on the Balos’ upper. Also, it didn’t feel like a $200 shoe. I’m still on the look out for a Superblast shoe.

Great video!! I love my OG Superblast. The Balos looks interesting but if it’s anything like the 1080v13 that shoe hurts my calves it’s so soft!!

Nature sound is fine

I'm to the point that I'm almost done with New Balance. The build quality just hasn't been there on the last two pair I've bought--one pair started coming apart 6 miles in and gave me blisters and the last pair has the insole sliding around inside the shoe (not a huge deal but super annoying and something I haven't had to deal with from other makers). Anyway, I hope my experience is a fluke, because they are making shoes I really want to try but I'm not willing to take a risk at that price point anymore.

I love the Balos. It is comfortable, soft and comes in a 2E for my wider foot. I’ve not been able to find the SB2 available and I’m not going to chase the available ones down. I’ll use the Balos for recovery runs and long, slow runs. I’m not concerned with durability, since I buy new shoes often and rotate. A welcome addition to my rotation.

I have both of these shoes. I don't feel like they are competitors in any way, they are two very different shoes, for different purposes, in my opinion. I love them both!

I read that balos may not work for forefoot strike but best for heel strike. Is that true?

Superblast for sure. The balos is probably fine but I can't understand why it's $200?

SB2 over Balos anytime

How do you think the SB 2 would work for heavier runners? i have the nimbus 25s and i feel like i just fall through them if that makes sense. They also feel like boats at times. I also cop alot of punishment on my legs because i train Muay Thai so need something that will keep them in good nick after a run

Noosa Tris don't wow me. I'm a die hard loyal fan of Nimbus so that's what I'll continue to use until asics drastically changes the comfort of that.

Superblast always!!!!

I ripped a hole in my ASICS 😭 bc the upper is so sock-like. It got hooked on the bottom of my screen door when I was being my awkward self lol thankfully not in a place that matters so they’ll last as long as they would have anyway esp if I just put a cute patch on it nbd. I’ll still always love them anyway. Love the miles-run outsole comparison too, so useful. 🤍

It's not a question of which should you buy between these two… it's more of CAN you buy the SB? That shoe is just soooooo dang hard to find! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I really like the Hyperion Max 2s. Brooks fit my feet really well and feel very comfortable. I use them as a daily trainer. I also have the Hyperion 2 GTS for faster sessions should I need them.
