So what happens if send and receive using the respective same address? Since you labeled the receive and send address. Can use back the same address?

Yes, you can reuse the same address. But it is always recommended to create a new one each time you receive.

I've got the Cold Card Q and want to add a passphrase now. What I'm wondering is since it essentially creates a new wallet once you've added a passphrase, What will happen to the BTC in my current wallet? Should I move my BTC off the wallet first before setting a passphrase, then send it back to the "new" passphrased wallet? I assume you get a different set of addresses, which is why I'm scared to just "lose" my current wallet.
@SouthernBitcoiner17 күн бұрын
Yes, you need to move funds over from the original wallet, to the new "passphrased" wallet, with new addresses. The old funds will remain in the old wallet, they will not be "lost" as long as you have the seed phrase. If you need hands on guidance, check out www.secusats.com/

Hmmm...The Trezor is not Air Gapped, (in direct contact with internet, huge security risk), Using Trezor's "software" Trezor Suite to interface, no Checksum or SHA256 to verify the Firmware before installing. Don't mean to be a hard ass, but this is not worth the risk. At this price point You'd be better off using Keystone's 3 Pro...

GD it all. okay so. I set up my wallet using coldcard and manage it through sparrow. I just downloaded (and am currently running) a full node on my personal desktop with a VPN, so I wouldn't have to use a public node to view my transactions on sparrow. Now I am reading all this stuff online about how people can see where I live and hack my computer through my node...I'm thinking it might be better to just delete the whole thing and use the sparrow node if there are all these security risks. Are these legit things I need to worry about?

Thanks for making these videos! I do have a question about Sparrow wallet. Let’s say, I created a multisig wallet with 2 out of 3 for signing. If someone hacks my MacBook and steel my Sparrow backup file, they still need my hardware keys to sign, right? But what if the hacker just add his own hardware keys for signing the transactions? Do you think this is possible? Or adding extra keys creates a new wallet?
@ruimendes6308Ай бұрын
2 out of 3 will use 3 different xpubs, one from each hardware wallet corresponding to its private key (seed phrase). If you use another hardware wallet, assuming it is a different seed phrase, the multisig will be different. If someone gets a hold of your backup file, it will have access to your 3 xpubs, but cannot sign because it lacks the private keys. If they want to use their hardware wallets, the result will be a completely different set of wallets, so your funds are safe, although your xpubs will be compromised and they can see your individual balances for each of the 3 hardware wallets. I hope I was clear enough.
