Sam I love your videos, but when you're showing prints, I'd really appreciate some in focus B-roll with better lighting so we can actually see details. The filament mounting is kinda a silly solution. The fan definitely needed a muffler option be it included or printable. Fast, but many issues.

Excellent video and feedback - definitively the T1, like the S1 are not finished or polished product for the moment - Both have been rushed 😑 By chance were you able to measure the actual flow rate? People have reported that the S1 is a lot lower than the advertised number (100mm3/s) so I'm definitively curious about the T1 - Flow rate is one of the limiting factors to achieve high print speed.

In bigger brother S1 there is a issue about abrassive filament support because hotend (wich is too and nozzle extension) is aluminum. I wonder if the teeth gears/wheels are reinforcement steel (in the S1 I mean).

The 90mm/s is a bold claim also

@@TheRealSamPrentice Completely inaccurate claim, unfortunately. If they had been honest about all the printer specs, it would be much better received.

I found it hard to believe with the nozzle type they used also, so you know what the true number is ?
@802Garage4 күн бұрын
@@TheRealSamPrentice YGK3D and Clough42 both did some pretty solid testing I believe. I think realistically depending on filament more like 30-60mm³ or so. The test FLSUN used was inaccurate as it could never actually reach the max flow rate they specified.

Releasing both S1 and T1 in a somewhat unfinished state is understandable since they announced the S1 and T1 a long time ago and then ran into something that delayed them coming to market. Suddenly they were in a position were revenue from V400 probably had shrunk because "everyone" was waiting for these new models. They might not have had much choice when pre-maturely pushing these out the door. The next few weeks and months will be critical though. Before I consider buying one, they have to show that they can get the models up and running reliably with new FW/software updates. (I did try to pre-order from their webstore. But they didn't ship to my location, so I have to buy from reseller). All that said, I think you Sam should have covered the main reason to consider one of these; claimed speed. When it works, is it really as fast as the claimed numbers suggest?

Thanks Sam. They are not alone in launching a printer with crappy initial firmware. We have been here so many times with lots of printers. I just wish they would get it right before taking the 'We will sort it later' approach. To me if feels short sighted and awful for the user. I get that you need to expect some minor issues with firmware and we expect a steady evolution of firmware when new printers come out but COME ON PEOPLE get it right. That being said I do love watching delta printers work as they fascinate me. Maybe they should also include a file to print ear muffs 😊

Glad any cubic is addressing the issues around the kobra 3. They still need to implement better bed leveling. And in another channel they said it will be open source klipper. So far, I've seen a lot of issues from users of the kobra3. From the ace system breaking to the hotend snapping in half due to getting caught somewhere, a lot of nozzle blobbing up. I mean you have a bambulab a1 with none of these issues.
