Great video! Seeing the drop test has got to make buyers feel better about the shipping of their product. People will always complain, but it certainly looks like Creality goes above and beyond to ensure that a quality product arrives on the end users doorstep. Great info Sam!

I had no idea they assemble all the printers before boxing them up! Do they all get print tests, or just a few from each batch?

Yep ALL are tested the drop test analysis is less frequent, as it then goes into lab testing but when they are “boxing” equipment in the initial stages. There are a ton of tests you’ll see this on the CR 10 SE video that’ll be out soon

1) This would have been a great chance for you to have signed/ autographed a series of them for customers. 2) Nice to see some of the behind the scenes of the manufacturing process. Assuming there was aloy of pre-screened content that was held back for NDA. 3) Why were your bags considerably larger after leaving the plant than when you entered? Lots of freebies/samples? Stuff for future reviews?

So I signed a k1 that I had part in building, plus who the hell am I to be signing stuff !! No NDAs are in place at the moment, they were while I was filming and pre-release of printers like the KE - and finally my bags were doubled due to the amount of gifted tea and moon cakes I had to take back!

What's more fascinating to me than machines made by machines... Are the machines that MAKE machines. I love factory automation tech. Incredible. Nice to know that this equipment also has a healthy amount of hand-assembly.

Hear or see much about the KE version? Seems the same, but with Klipper and some added related features like better input shaping. The Ender 3 V3 full stop is supposed to be coming soon as well. That one has a contained belt system in the uprights and is much more expensive.

Yep you see them on test in one of the shots, again price is advanced from the SE and the CR10SE but the value of speed and klipper is reflected

Great upload. I could save them a fortune in drop testing. Just give a few parcels to UK couriers, they will test them in no time and Creality will soon find out how good their packaging is! 😂😂

@TheRealSamPrentice I used to print Mugs and I had to find some interesting packing methods to get them to customers. I used to ship all over the world and the only places I had problems was the UK and Italy. Here they got smashed and in Iltaly they never turned up. I'm sure Royal Mail looked out for boxes to play football with!

All the tech in quality control doesn't help though if they don't follow through when inevitable failures arise. Never once have Creality fixed a warranty issue for me even on a brand new printer.

And that's good that some are getting service but others still aren't. They have a long way to go to come close to some of their competition who send parts and ensure their products work as advertised.

@@TheRealSamPrentice I’m not saying that the majority of people are, but with Bambu showing up with higher speed and good OEM multi color products I strongly expect more users to want that from the manufacturers, and not sourced from an alternative manufacturer. Clearly Bambu is going after the customers that don’t want to tinker but have a printer that looks good and works reliably just like a typical paper printer. Multicolor will become more standard than now. Just like all the Prusa MK3 upgraded options from when it launched are now the standard option on many cheap printers today.
