As a member of the Carruthers Clan this touches my soul deeply.

We sang this and all the other Scottish songs when I was young. My grandfather came from Skye. We also were taught Scottish history at Primary School. This was an everyday part of our lives. The Skye Boat song is one of my favourites. Unfortunately, the love of my country has been tarnished by the SNP. These people have turned out to be thieves and liars and have cast a dark shadow on our beautiful historic home. To be told you don’t love Scotland if you don’t want Independence is an insult I won’t accept. I love everything about Scotland and wish I could undo the indoctrination visited upon it by the SNP.
