The last time AMD gave up on high-end they've released the RX480, which was a phenomenal card with a great value, and served me well for a long time. Now I have an RX 6800, and I also love this, but one reason I've started eying with the green team, is because the technology, namely upscaling, is so much better there. FSR is just way too blurry for my liking right now. For my next card I wanted something like an RX 7800XT, but the raw performance of it almost the same as the RTX 4070's performance. The 4070 has better upscaling, better frame gen, better ray-tracing and lower power usage. It's only a bit more expensive than the 7800 XT where I live, so it's hard to choose the 7800 XT right now. Since the value of these cards it not where I want it to be, I've decided that I wait for the next gen. I've heard some rumors that AMD plans to release AI assisted upscaling for the 7XXX and 8XXX cards. I don't have my hopes up, but if they close the gap against DLSS they have a buyer here.

A little correction: you CAN have faster memory on a mobile but it needs to be SOLDERED. Just like the CPU is. so yes, its an interface limitation. The OneXPlayer and GPD portables have 7500MHz memory for example, I'm not sure about the Ally, Legion Go and Ayaneo though. There is also a second standard being tested, and it looks sort of like a sideways SSD with a tab, but its LGA, like the CPU. forgot the name for that though. Other than that, great video. One last thing, I'm kind of partial about AMD's position on the GPU market: instead of focusing on the GPUs that give the brand the eyes, they are focusing on the GPUs that give the players the value, the ones they'll actually use.

A $2000 card isn't legitimately in the consumer market! I can't believe that we've let the graphics card companies become the monsters they have become... I mean they've actually manufactured NEW use cases for their product that aren't ACTUALLY legitimate; Crypto currency for instance is investing in imaginary products, BUT this is a manufactured use-case for a product that should be MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE! Nvidia SHUOLD be incentivized to manufacture for multiple markets, an AI/crypto market, and a gaming market, producing high performance chips for gamers that isn't engineered to fit into the crypto mining market. The fact that they haven't DESCRIBES a HUGE issue with the USes market controls, such as monopoly, as well as currency controls, as there are clearly two markets there, but Nvidia is bleeding it's consumer market because it is competing with the enterprise market (crypto). Nvidia would actually maintain a MUCH more consumer oriented, and value-based marketing by improving their reputation with consumers. This would be valuable to them, but not as much as bleeding both markets until they are both dead.

For me, there's a lot of issues with the way that graphics cards and processors have been going. They keep throwing more electricity and heat at it and I really don't want to have to constantly have more money going into the electric bill both for the computer parts and also for cooling the space. Not to mention that I plan to have two systems set up next to each other coming up, so two systems and a window AC unit on a 15 amp breaker is going to be a stretch. I'm happier with some of the lower end AMD things because they are so much more efficient. When I would likely end up thermal throttling with most of the "better" parts, it's really not going to do anything other than cost more. And I wonder if the new 3 layer cards are going to struggle even more with cooling because it's going to be hard to get the heat out of the middle layer for sure

I have a 4090 for my main computer, for playing the most demanding games in 4K. And I got a 4060 for my second computer sitting in another room. I slightly overclocked it with Afterburner's overclocking tool, and it's a great card for most games in 1440p. I just finished The Talos Principle 2, an unreal 5 game, and I'm currently playing Dying Light 2 reloaded with a mix of medium to high settings. It's a perfectly capable card for a lot a games, even in 1440p. Be honest, it's really a cheap card. Just use the right tool for the right task.

i have a gaming laptop with an RTX3050 6GB and i tested it on ghost of tsushima i gat around 52 FPS on high preset in native res and 60 fps with dlss Q. But when i start to use the fsr 3 frame gen with dlss Q i get around 110 fps!!! and all that without any noticable lose in image quality. So yes Nvidia were wrong and they just want to sell there new GPUs

I’ve had a 5700xt for 4 years and only ran into two major issues, sometimes windows would override my drivers making them incompatible with Adrenaline, the fix was just to deactivate auto updates and I’ve once had a windows install die on me. No clue what caused it but it happened after my gpu soft crashed. Got windows back up and everything is fine 🤷🏻‍♂️ I asked some guys and they think it’s because one of my nvme’s was installed slightly wrong but I lost nothing other than windows, so still not a clue what caused it.

The 7800x3d $280 deal wasn't real. I instantly bought one when I saw it. Next day Amazon cancelled my order stating "the Amazon seller no longer exists" Called customer service got 3 different excuses as to why it was cancelled. Continued to be a Karen and eventually got it for the $280 they had listed.
