what happens if you replace your ecu? so if you use an ecu from an other xsr? what happens to immobilizer?

I tightened mine just a little by adding a thin but large diameter washer that could fit against the rubber washer and around the small part of the metal ring thingy. It's still got some wiggle to it to not vibrate to pieces, but it's tightened enough to feel a little bit more nicely secured now.

I got this bike for the looks, the seat position on naked bikes and the tech cause it was my first bike and what learned on. Ride mode 4 was my home for 6 months and after i went up a mode, it felt like a whole new bike! Tip : PLEASE practice your slow speed turns, it made this bike perfect for a commute bike. I barely use my truck

Two easy questions…… Is it possible that the ECU programming cause the engine to start knocking ? Is it possible that the factory mapping could become corrupt or partially corrupt and cause engine knocking ? Thank you !

Thank you for your review. I agree on all accounts (except I don't have a photochromatic visor yet). The RF1400 is like a jewel, well-built and the paint motiff on mine is sooooo good to gaze at. The smoke visor is darker--but the photochromatic would be really nice to have.

I just bought the 12 volt version of the quadlock wireless charger, cut of the USB's and soldered the quadlock onto it. Clean AF.

You should wear gloves. engine oil is bad for you. Same crush washer does for years. 2.75 quarts! why don't you all go metric instead of 50/50? Good video.

that filter will do nothing. the stock air filter will flow as good. this why the airbox is the restrition not the filter. do a mod on the air box then dna will work with out the mod on air box you will gain nothing. will show you on tyno will post a vid next week. and it not just the snorkel.

It should work they’re essentially the same bike. You can always double check with Kawasaki Brad 👍🏼. Still have zero issues and cruise control still works

Depends on how often you ride and the environment in which you ride. Just to be safe I’d check the air filter after every other oil change.

I use a helmet mounted brake light to be more visible from behind. Maybe could’ve helped with the sunset issue

I'm also 5'8" and 165lb! And I've been wondering if this bike would be good for me. I'm a beginner, but wanna start riding it with slower modes. Not sure if this bike would be fine for me, but it looks amazing.

If you’ve never ridden a motorcycle I’d probably recommend the xsr700 but if you’re dead set on this bike I’d keep it in drive mode 4 and slowly progress as you get more comfortable.

@@Kmoto530it's brand new. I don't have problems with 3, or 4 gear. It's just the second which, it's hard to shift to. It gets me into trouble in stop lights. I'm not sure if I'm shifting roughly, or if there's something wrong with the transmission. I felt that since the beginning but I thought it was me due my lack of experience, but now it's clear it's not me, I think.

@AdrianRConant hmm 🤔 if it’s still under warranty I’d have the dealer take a look at it. You can also double check the clutch cable to ensure there is proper amount of free play

Lol I once accidentally turned mine off and gave it the beans.. immediately went up to about 45 degrees and I basically shat myself. Thank God was able to let off the throttle. First real wheelie ever lol these xsr's are so wheelie happy. I have last gen. So I imagine these are even easier to pick up
