Here's what I've learned over the past 28 years as an ENFP: ENF's strong point is that we are chaotic social butterflies who glue people together and entertain people like being with us and being hosted by us. But on the other hand, the negative side is that we are also energy vampires who consume the energy of others to transfer it to ourselves. And, because of our extroversion, we need socializing to recover and recharge our batteries, so that isolation, loneliness and solitude don't wear us out and exhaust us. Also, the ENFP gets more done in the company of other people than when alone, some consider the lonely ENFP to be lazy and distracted. In addition, many companies have come to the conclusion that the modern world no longer needs ENFP employees because we are not efficient, productive, systematic, disciplined and obedient enough and with that reasoning we get rejections for job applications (on the other hand, this may also be due to the fact that the use of personality tests in screening job applicants is new in Finland and companies do not know what to do with ENFP employees because we don't fit into the image/idea of "a classic employee who works like a mindless robot and goes home when the work is done" but we choose to socialize and make friends at workplaces, which is most often forbidden in the unwritten rules). But maybe in the future we will be able to create a world and work life that is more suitable and more permissive for us ENFPs as well so there is no reason to give up hope either. And by the way, thanks for this video.

In your previous video about candace owens you mentioned a typical extj trait is over confidence and lack of self doubt. What function is this caused by? I, infp ,have noticed that I don't come across confident all the time when speaking. Looking to improve on this. Your response would be appreciated
@typologia
@typologia Күн бұрын
Te comes across easily dominant, confident, and controlling when it comes to “things” due to its directing and bold nature. Fi on the other hand is naturally more sensitive which can come across informing, uncertain and shy when discussing “things”. But on the other hand Fi is more confident when it comes to emotions and preferences. Once you verify and educate your Te inferior as an INFP, you naturally become more confident. Especially when “things” align with your emotions, preferences and values. INFPs don’t come across as confident as high Te users, but they can definitely come across confident in their own harmonious ways.

INTJ here, thank you for your time into research, the world is self-consumed, and true care lies in the actions and help, for if we live by emotional reaction we are silly and do things without consideration, it's a trap of the heart, I scare people with my neutral face and spontaneous nature that I plan, my fabric of being is moved by what I think and set all efforts to, I have accomplished many tasks that are unnatural because I wanted to, I am morally deep and hate but understand ignorance that is chosen, for the reality is painful, but it presents the light that we as people have the power to change it.

Is not that it is hard to start things, it is just that when you look at the big picture and pre analyse how something will pan up, most things are not worthy of starting because the chance of succeding is extremely low. Is not that they don't care about others' feeling, it is an impossible waste energy and invasion of privacy to try to figure out others. I don't think INTJ want to control things, it is just that we are aware of what is under our control and what is not. It is illogical to be concerned with what is out of one's control.

I know what you mean, but i also know that the myers briggs test was created back in 1944. While yes alot of things like this can be construed and twisted. It was a tool originally to help understand people. Some people take it to literally and some just think great another fad. Why not just look at it and see if there is a chance to learn something. I know someone who does these tests for free and makes it very clear the results are not set in stone and to actually read the whole result. It's something to maybe help people learn about themselves but some people like you hint at are just ignorant lol. Omg I'm a Gemini and I can't help how I act. I know what you mean but be curious, not judgemental.

Introverted focus on general approach to life, therefore an introverted dominant funcion; greatly prioritizes internal values over communal ones (Fi > Fe); feeling over thinking (Fi > Te on that axis); mentions a lot of meaningful experiences, whether good or bad, and how that affected her (Si > Se). Despite a low prevalence of positivity, indulges in imaginary scenarios, but indicates that usage on self-reflection rather than analyzing others' motivations, so Ne > Ni; a common issue, which doesn't seem to be her case or is already controlled, is the tertiary loop, which would make her simulations catastrophic and self-deprecating. Motivation: fluctuating and working on routine and concrete stability (low Si), as opposed to ISTJ's necessary routine, ritualism and predictability (Si-dom). INFJ X INFP: Ni-Fe uses intuition to assess people's traits and behavior in order to draw conclusions on social prognostics: being people-oriented, know how they operate and how to direct them and themselves. Fi-Ne, in the other hand, uses intuition to gather information on the world and how it resonates with their own value set. Indirect speech pattern, confrontational when backed against the wall or absolutely necessary, indicating low Te; "my feelings" over "my thoughts", Te > Ti. Therefore, Fi-Ne-Si-Te - Joanna is an INFP. My two cents as an INTJ.

I as an entj, have made a great entj friend. We are both so similar, enjoy similar activities and have similar views on dating and relationships. We get along well.We are both women and are really glad we found each other. So far, this relationship has been super energetic and fun. We plan things to do with each other and really enjoy the time we spend together. The thing is, I wanna get more close to my entj friend on emotional level as an entj myself. How do I go about it!? She is amazing, beautiful and a go getter. We have similar emotional values (loyalty and emotional intensity). I wanna make her my best friend for life because I really like her( we are both heterosexual females and not romantically interested in each- for context). Any advice?

Wow! So amazing that you have found a great entj friend! I have also one entj friend that I have met few times (due to the long distance we have) and it is super insightful to meet someone with whom you share many similar views. 😍 My advice would be to be as honest as possible with her (I appreciate honesty above all) and intellectual discussions are great. Find similar interests and perhaps start a motivational project together that stimulates both of your interests and challenges both of you. At least for me; achieving something together with someone / motivating other people give the best feeling!

I agree absolutely with your emphasis on the discrepancy of how deep INTJ emotional life is vs. Their stereotypical perception of being cold and distant. I watched a few of these videos and you got it absolutely right 👍 Yes, INTJs have a complex and vivid emotional making. It is often a source of deep suffering, or opposite, absolute elation. Either way it's common for us to be overwhelmed by emotions. That is why a common strategy is distancing and emotional suppression, its a survival mechanism for young INTJ. The Fi function is a source of a lot distress earlier in life. It is also where we can get stuck in a negative loop of self doubt, regret, self pity. Supressing emotions or repression of memory, also known as PTSD,impairs cognitive ability as it is paired with Ni. I do understand myself enough now to confirm that utilising Se function is a key to strike a healthy balance. It might be Friedrich Nietzsche's famous walks, or Isaac Newton's plunge out to contemplate in nature. It can also be a physical activity that strengthen connection between body and mind. Either way, this is very volatile personality type that is prone to being unhealthy. Therefore we should remember to think of ourselves as the project numero uno, managing this mess is no easy task at first.😂. Mature INTJ will have a understanding of how to manage emotional response, will understand and have a healthy emotional inner workings.

It is true that we might be sitting still but inside I am already unravelling the complexities of life...the spiderweb is something not to be afraid of...it is something that i enjoy going through bec it is from the difficulties that growth and learning can be achieve proficiently. The interplay of psychology, philosophy and reality is soooooo fun but to others who cannot comprehend or not on the same wavelength of growth in that aspect...an INTJ is uptight, calculated and indifferent.

Tbh whenever I watch videos of comparing INFJs to another type, INFJ and ESFJ are the ones that come close, I do rely on the reaction of others, and I'm always overthinking my emotional self-worth, I can either be very blunt or apprehensive because I worry that I might hurt people, and I put people's mental health above my own, I'm the one who will make sure those I care for are doing okay and worry for them, but I suppress my own emotional wounds

Whenever I see/hear someone proclaim to be INFJ, I automatically cringe and assume they're mistyped without taking the time to get to know them. Most people I've met that said they were INFJ were mostly ISFJ or some times INFP. Most people are either ignorant of cognitive functions, clout chasing or base their INFJ test result off of stereotyped biases ie "I had a gut feeling one time so I'm an Ni dominant...".

As I am more on the adult side (25+), I observe my Se developing, hence I want to give others a good time and be a jester at times. I think younger INTJs would have more difficulty to be "out there". This description described what I was struggling with these days particularly on the Ni dom: that we have difficulty starting, but then once we are in the game, we are IN the game (tendency to bulldoze the work). Thank you so much for your effort put on this video. I appreciate it as I am tired of these stereotypes where INTJs cannot like cute things (Child Fi who?), use emojis, be enthusiastic, etc. I cannot imagine how ppl warp themselves to be the "type" when we still have to have our own sense of identity at the end of the day.

Cant say about other personalities but most depictions of INTJ are spot on. We are also corelated to Sigma personality and typical villain. Not shoving emotions except anger. People cant read us as we struggle to read others making us mysterious and not trustworthy. We are very loyal and caring in more unexpecting ways. Like we dont buy flowers and pointless gifts on (for us) stupid holidays but find our loved ones a perfume that they will use for the rest of their life because they love it. We think a loth but can also have empty mind and meditation comes naturally to us. Value silence and peace.
