As a lifelong diehard Pirates fan. I just love this. I know we won’t be able to keep him throughout his whole career. So I will enjoy this ride while it lasts. Everytime he takes the mound, it’s an event. Truly a special player.

I understand what being driven and being a perfectionist is. I do the same. A lot of people think I'm a jerk, but those who are my friends know who I really am when I pay their bills, stick my neck out for them, and always answer when they call, as cringe as that may be. This is why I love Harper. He strives for perfection and when he doesn't reach it, that destroys him internally. As a Phillies fan, I was delighted to get him. He's our guy.

I'm the lifelong Phillie fan who wasn't a Harper fan when he was a National. Seeing him on the Phillies, and watching him every day, this take is spot on. He's an awesome guy, a clubhouse leader, and he's great for the franchise.

People do not realize. They were working on mechanics and he had game situation bull pen sessions durring this. It's not uncommon to be put on 35 pitch counts because of the frequency of his sessions. Pit even went into a 6 man rotation to get him more recovery time. They habe another young guy that should get more attention thanbhe does named jones. If they add another OF bat and bull pen arm, they're going to make noise in the playoffs. They were dealing with injuries and are getting healthy. They already made significant ground in the division. I believe they were 12 games out and now only 6. They're only 1.5 out in the wild card.

Yeah he cost the Nationals two WS. When they were the best team in baseball, he struck out with men on base game over. WS over. Exact same thing happened the next year. He left. The next year WS for the Nats.

The poster boy for "damn, he sure got here fast!" was Dave Steib of the Toronto Blue Jays in 1978. That guy pitched like 3 games in college as an emergency replacement for starters getting lit up. He was an 400 hitting outfielder with power, who just so happened to possess a cannon arm. A Jays scout offered him a minor league contract after watching him pitch only once, as an emergency pitcher just trying to get the ball over the plate. In less than 130 innings in the minor leagues, he was called up to the major leagues. He threw over 2000 innings in his first 10 seasons. This dude was amazing. Sometimes you find a guy like Paul Skenes, that's just that good.

Bauer is an unfortunate case because all of the charges have been either settled or dropped. One of his accusers is being sent to jail for doing the same thing to multiple other men for monitory gains

I wouldnt really say it was "out of nowhere." The guy was drafted #1 for a reason. He was a beast while at LSU. In the first minute of the video they talk about how he's the best prospect they've ever seen. It's pretty expected that he's gonna excel. To your point, maybe not to this degree quite yet... But still, he didn't really come out of nowhere.
