This is by far the Nicest Challenger I've seen to date. The amount of extra time, detail and thought that you put into this is incredible. If I ever get to own a Challenger I'd like it to be all done just like yours for the safety and User Friendlyness aspects. Thank You for sharing this information with us. It would be cool to see your Challenger at EAA 2024.

Beautiful machine. Do I need license pilot to fly one of these? What is the range price for a brand new one?

My dad spent 4 years building this "cute toy" to become what's been known as the best built challenger out there. Right up until the end of his life he poured his blood sweat and tears into it. It's not worthless at all. Not to anyone who knew my dad.

That is a very good looking aircraft sir and you have done a fantastic job of building her. I don’t fly at all or have a license but know a good looking one when I see it. I hope you and good lady have lots of fun and enjoyable trips in her and a great video. Steve 👨🏼‍🦽🇬🇧👍🏻👍🏻

I have just discovered Challenger aircraft and would dearly love to own a puddle jumper amphib. C-ITOM is a wonderfully detailed build with thought and care. Tom,YOUR airplane 14:12 is a gem …. When you sell I would love to know.

First mods my dad and I made to a Challenger II was to cross brace the landing struts, and wedge the wing attachment points. The cross-braced landing struts allow us to run bush tires and land in the sage hills.

I have just read that Tom has passed away nearly 2 years ago - he seems to have been a meticulous and safety conscious builder and pilot, with an eye for great purposeful aesthetics - rest in peace Tom, we have been blessed to watch you show us what is a wonderful amphibious plane.

I'm curious what prevents the chute lines from getting cut by the propeller with pusher aircraft - is there some kind of auto engine off that happens at the same time?

It’s not rosin. It’s resin. Rosin is the powdered sap of a pine tree and is used to increase grip. Resin,in this regard is a mixed polymeric fluid agent that hardens to a strong solid
