Last summer we we were going on a cruise and my dad made a taxi driver stop at our apartment we rented, we were going to Temini to get to port of Chivvetivaccia by train , he should have went to the taxi stand but it was 8 in the morning and our train was departing at 9:30 he should have booked one at like 10:30 or 11 to avoid it and yesterday I told him about the taxi thing with this video on TV.

we will be receiving tourism transport cards for the 2 cities we're staying in. how do we integrate that with our SBB travel that may extend beyond those boundaries? v overwhelmed and our air bnb hosts are not helping :(
@AplinsintheAlps11 минут бұрын
Great question! Guest cards cannot be loaded onto the SBB app. You’ll have to use the validity map to know where they will/will not cover! (Typically they only cover the city and not beyond)

How to get from Murren to Gimmelwald if I can't hike that long?
@MsLastduchess22 сағат бұрын
I hope you answer my question asap. I am in Wengen and booked a ticket of the cable car from Murren to Schilthorn tomorrow because I want to go to the 360 restaurant. How do I find Murren cable car? How far is it from Murren train station?

Great video. But on a slightly critical note I found the extreme 'vocal fry' of the lady very difficult to listen to. I think someone who is working as a presenter should try to remove bad habits like this from their speech.

I have a general question. I just viewed a current KZfaq video of Thun dated June 25. It showed the wooden bridge in Thun during a rainy day, with all the flower boxes removed from this bridge as well as most window sills. In the spring and summer season when towns like Thun and Lucerne usually have their window sills and bridges displayed with flowers, are they removed during heavy rain?

There are still so many more places in this tiny country that we want to explore! (Maybe the locals can tell us about their favorite spots?! 🙃)

We visited Jungfraujoch yesterday, We went on a Monday. Without a Seat reservation in advance, people had to wait 2 hours, Whatever the time of ticket it doesn't matter if you haven't got a seat reservation, I have visited the Arctic Circle (north Finland) therefore I felt this was a complete waste of time and money even we went on a good sunny day,

A misdirecting video! First is a very very touristy place with a very long line even to enter the 1st gondola. All tickets for activities are sold out if you don’t book online 2 days in advance. Only 4 activities are there but the queue is sooo long!! 2.5-3hrs waiting time for the glider. Even 60 mins for trot bikes. Will not recommend this place to anyone!

Thanks for the info. I will be there in three weeks in preparation for hiking the TMB and have been planning this since late last summer. I was shocked when I read of the recent weather. The Matterhorn Glacier Trail sounds most interesting to me but find it interesting I still read of that trail being closed on the Zermatt website. Was there more snow than normal last winter.
@AplinsintheAlps3 күн бұрын
How neat! Yes, we had a very wet spring and there was probably fresh snow on the Matterhorn Glacier Trail within the last week or 2. But the weather is warming so it should clear up soon! (There were also flooding and landslides in Zermatt last weekend, but they are working hard to clean up for the summer tourism season, so I think you’ll be okay in 3 weeks…although of course we can’t predict the weather 🙃)

I recently did the North face hike and it truly is exceptional. However, despite what others may say, this trail is poorly marked and difficult to follow. In fact there are basically no signs for the north face trail at all. I used an app to help stay on the trail (Hika app). I would highly suggest using an app to help find and follow this trail

I had so much confusion on how to get to Jungfraujoch from Interlaken, and your video answered all my questions. Thank you so much!! As I am travelling in the summer, I am hoping not to bring winter clothes just for this part of the trip. May I know if you guys have any idea on where I can rent thick jackets and boots? I will be based in Interlaken. Using the Berner Oberland Pass, I intend to take the train to Grindelwald Terminal, Eiger Express before transiting to Jungfrau Railway. Is there any point in my route where there will be rental shops available? Appreciate your help!
@AplinsintheAlps4 күн бұрын
So glad we can help! Unfortunately we don’t know of any specific places that rent winter gear during the summer. Maybe see if Intersport rents any??? They have locations in nearly every town in this area.
