Thanks for the video! I've just pulled out my old PB laptop and the only one I have so upgrading it now. The hinge is broke on mine so looking to see how I can fix this and also wondering about the CPU if you could help. What CPUs would be compatible with this laptop?

Just followed your video. Wasn't as difficult as it looks. Ended up with 3 screws left over. But everything is done and working. Fan and heatsink was blocked by dust. I cleaned it and applied new thermal paste to cpu and gpu. Temperatures remain low now. And this old laptop is actually usable again. I've got an ssd and more ram on the way. Thank you for the great video

Thank you, I've done it today and it took me about 30-40 min. It's a huge difference, an almost 10 years old laptop seems like new. Before I just turned it on and open a browser and the CPU was at 90 degrees, now whatever I do it doesn't go past 65 degrees and it's very quiet.

In the Lenovo ideacentre aio 700-24ish monoblock, I replaced the 1000Gb HDD with a 512Gb SSD of the Chinese brand X ray. After that, the processor is constantly loaded by at least 50%, even in idle time. The cooling fan is running at full power, very noisy. WIN 10 Pro operating system, newly installed. In the task Manager, two processes "System" and "System Interrupts" actively use the processor. Please tell me, what could be the problem?

Thank you for the video, it was helpful. I have the AIO 700 27ISH. When I look at the system information, I can see a C drive (local fixed disk) and D drive (removable disk). Is the disk that you show in the video refer to the D drive in my case or is that the C drive? If that is the C drive, where is the D drive located? Any inputs is appreciated. Thank you.

The audio speaker cable will not come out. I pull very hard and it still wont budge. Is there a certain way to do it? Is there a push mechanism or a latch or something? You did it so easily in the video, i'm very confused.

I finally got it. It took about 2 hours of trial and error. I used two flat screwdrivers as leverage on the corners. It came out with a lot of force. There was a very small scratch afterwards on the motherboard but it didn't cause any problems. Thank you so much for the video. I've had the laptop for about 8 years now and it was really going down hill. After repasting and cleaning the fan, it's literally like brand new again. ❤

I'm going to try this out tonight. Mine is nearly 9 years old. I always used a laptop cooler with extra fans to raise it from the table, which probably helped to extend its lifetime, but after all this time the laptop is intensely heating up regardless. I'm not a computer wizard, so I'm afraid to do something wrong. But I'll follow your steps and I'll let everyone know whether a computer dummy like me can pull it off and whether it helped or not.

Why no vacuum cleaner or airduster. Only brushing? That is not very propely dust removing. Nice made video, but still downvote.
@mrdummy_nl
@mrdummy_nl 3 жыл бұрын
@@ramunasusinskas3756 You are right, brush can remove hardened dust better than airduster. This is of course based in which environment the laptop is used. If someone smoke a lot, it will stick on dust. So yeah, even with airduster, inspection is still needed if there is nothing left on the cooling part. But try first with airduster is not wrong, as long parts are inspected after it and if it's clean enough, then we're good.

Thank you so much. I feel like I have brought my laptop back from the dead. Cpu temp used to be around 60s-70s just by playing a movie and gpu also in the 60s area. The fan was extremely loud. After a year of random BSODs and shut downs when my kids go to use it for games and swapping bad ram, I think this might be the issue, needs new thermal paste and thorough clean! Cross fingers will report back. I ran several GPU benchmarks and saw the gpu temp rise rapidly but works fine on normal use, just anything graphic intensive just shuts down.
