I would like to educate people on this song it is not Pentatonix's song The song was written and composed by Canadian poet and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen (1934-2016), who said in interviews that it took at least four years and two notebooks to write an unspecified number of completed verses. Then was famously sung by Jeff Buckley in 1994 so please stop giving credit to a band that is broken up

STOP IT! STOP IT! STOPITSTOPITSTOPIT! Everyone, please, just stop it! This IS NOT a religious song! This IS NOT a Christian song! It IS NOT a God-honoring song! Please trying to make it one!

What you don't realize is that these poor kids are stuck in that stairwell with the acoustics of a public school bathroom. The athletes and the cool kids have clearly forced them in here and this is a harmonized cry for help.

Pra quem fala português e quem nao fala, ta ai a letra pra quem não sabe: I heard there was a secret chord That David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? Well, it goes like this: The fourth, the fifth The minor fall and the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Your faith was strong, but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya She tied you to her kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Baby, I've been here before I've seen this room and I've walked this floor, you know I used to live alone before I knew ya And I've seen your flag on the marble arch And love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya And it's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah...

What these guys have on Pentatonix is having more voices to make it more powerful. I absolutely love this ❤

OK, I TRIED listening to Pentatonix singing this. IMHO No strong voices, no true passion, no energy to hook me on. Nada. You guys, on the other hand, keep bringing me to tears. I guess I always stand for underdogs :))))))))

The difference between this and Pentatonix is like the difference between Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston singing "And I Will Always Love You". Pure soul outpour vs. performance.

OK, I've listened to this over five times this night, and I'm adding this wonderful (understatement) performance to my Favorits list. In my book, it's like being included in the NHL hall of fame! :))) Seriously, I'm IN LOVE with this performance. God bless you guys for ever and ever! I'm not a religious person, but I do appreciate art.
