I loved the movie (saw it at the theater in Sydney this week), the carpool karaoke clip, the stunty premieres and the SNL 'monologue' - but it's getting hard to see how the marketing budget is going to be recouped any time soon.

This movie is a love letter to the stunt community, so at least creating great marketing content is pretty easy and cost effective for them

@@hydrofuturaa I suppose only time will tell. As I indicated, I loved the film and I will fork out for either the DVD or the digital download, rather than wait for streaming. I've also thoroughly enjoyed most of the marketing (I did forget to mention the excellent Oscars sketch). But the marketing is starting to feel a tad forced and the bills must be really starting to add up. I hope it all pays off.

I honestly could not have been disappointed more save your money. This is getting good reviews simply because people are being PC and not wanting to anger a very small but noisy minority that this movie is made for.

Two main things were there was no one cheer for, everyone was without worthwhile character. And it was waaaay too gay. 5% might dig it but it will piss off anyone that doesn’t own a rainbow flag

@@billiestevens318 I agree with you that in many ways these characters are not portrayed as “good people” but respectfully I’d have to disagree on the second as there is only two brief moments that could be described as “gay” in any way I’m not really sure why you feel so strongly about it but it’s your opinion

The tennis parts were actually better than I expected. Even though during a rally we had times were people were able to make four or five strides before getting to a ball after it was hit, which is funny, the actual actors look halfway decent and how they struck the ball.
