It was officially announced a couple of months ago that plans of restoring Durango & Silverton 478 have been made so hopefully sometime in the near future they could do a triple header to Cascade canyon.

Very good! 've been mulling over getting a building brought in approximately that size and making it into a caboose. I think somebody would make quite a bit of money creating the accessories needed to create a caboose (albeit a stationary one).

As the Indiana rail experience keeps things going for 765. I hope there comes an opportunity to bring 1225 into this territory so she can double head with 765 on a couple runs mostly maybe the fall color run and the tri-state run one day.

I am very grateful for the Indiana rail experience to give 765 the best of opportunities to continue operating since the charter runs for highballing down the class One lines have been temporarily postponed till the Fort Wayne historical society can upgrade 765 to Go the Distance again.

2024 UPDATE: 9. With No. 1309 now operable, a rebuild for No. 734 is planned, pending funding. 6. No. 2716 has since moved to the former CSX facility in Ravenna, Ky., and is undergoing extensive rebuilding, including a firebox rebuild, various appliance replacements and conversion to oil firing. 2024 UPDATE: Ownership of No. 587 transferred from the Indiana Transportation Museum to a private individual in 2021. It remains stored in Ravenna, Ky., with the Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation. Future plans are unknown.
