One of the most IMPACTFUL programs to air in the late 90's and early 2000's and I remember it fondly. It really just showed the average Joe on the street the ingenious and clever ways and methods magicians/illusionists use to pull off some pretty remarkable trickery. I know there was strong backlash and several lawsuits being filled at the time from peoples livelihood this show adversely effected but I'm still glad I was exposed to it as a young teenager myself because I thought it was nothing short of mind blowing personally,

Glad i caugh the unmasking episode all those years back. I nearly forgotten this show, but the masked magician's unmasking makes me remember.

I remember watching this on Fox back in the day, and I was amazed as seeing how these tricks were performed.

I like this guy even more now haha. Giving big ups to Penn & Teller and such.

I am still not convinced. I studied the Mask Magician's physicality a lot and I always felt Valentino was too thin to be the Masked Magician. Also the hands of the Masked Magician were darker in tone. Lastly...the eyes never lie and to me they are not the same eyes.

When I was a kid I loved magic more from him than I did watching the old foggies. Probably the same old fucks who made this shit controversial

When this show was happening , the magician community already knew who it was because his techniques was so bad they are easy to recognize.

His voice sounds robotic behind the mask, plus you can actually see his mouth moving inside it

A code is a code: these magician codes were not made to be broken. I don't understand his explanations about using his platform to help rejuvenate magic back to the younger generation, he was worried magic would die? The greatest magicians have been doing magic for centuries and, the best never revealed any of thier tricks, in fact most of them said this: Never do the same trick for the same audiences more than once, why? It's because of protecting the illusion of the trick, to not reveal on how it works? What does everyone think about the newer generation of magician that are creating new and, innovative tricks, don't you think it takes away from the fun and mysterious about newer illusions? I was at one time into magic but, I got away from it due to my religious beliefs and, people revealing things. I heard Valentino recently does not get the magic shows he used to get paid for his performance since his revealing magic?

I remember spam watching the youtube videos when I was little, and then, I saw this video. I remember thinking, "Wait, the guy in the scary mask isn't scary?" Imagine if dude took off his mask and it was just Mitch Palegi.
