I love your dumpster diving. You find the coolest treasures. It's so much fun to come along with you and of course your adorable dog!!

I hope you'll have the energy to salvage these gorgeous planks when leaving the apartment. Hopefully chipped paint doesn't ruin the underside or seep up through the gaps- maybe an underlay would have helped

I know, 3 weeks large to the party, but I might recommend using an ozone generator in the basement. It will take care of any mold issue you will have.

I have a trunk/chest from India that my grandparents brought back in 1960. Still beautifully carved and in good shape, but I don't really have a space to display it so it's sitting in the attic…

This is the first video of yours I ever watched and when I'm feeling down, tired or I just want something cozy to watch, I find myself coming back again to this video. <3

Better check to see if the tiles are allready sealed. Also a sealant might melt the plastic.

Alternatively you could give me some credit that I have even a minor level of competence and might know what I’m doing 😉

You do you! Keep up the gtreat job. Dont let the trolls get you down. I have a 100 what I call my tiny camp house about 700ish feet, that I will be almost taking down due to neglect and rats. Trying to save her. You havd given me a much needed boost of confidence

Lot of your plants are perennials and if protected from the frost will grow back year to year including the 3 Japanese grasses you got for free on the side of the road. 🤩
@ShannonMakes4 сағат бұрын
that's the thing - they were not at ALL protected from the frost (out of the ground, in a very shallow planter, not covered with anything), hence my surprise!! s🍓

I've got an old trunk, in fairly good shape. I bought it for around $150 US about 20 years ago. It's nice storage, and looks cool.

A idea for you wood, get 2 cinderblocks & 4 2x ? Place wood in holes will tilt out ward then place your wood in it... will have more air flow & keep them out of dirt

I have my grandmother's old trunk and I have never known what to do to fix, enhance it, and this just gave me loads of ideas and information. Printing that pattern on fabric is a genius idea and I may just do the same! Thoroughly enjoyed this video!

you are cute! lets hope your landlord doesnt see this video...on a serious note the least expensive option for you would have been scraping and painting with the appropriate paint (unless you really wanted that look). before you do that i would put in writing to your landlord what you are about to do and get it approved so you can be compensated. if the owner of the complex has partners its a bit difficult but if its just one person its good.
@ShannonMakes10 сағат бұрын
I definitely couldn’t care less if he sees it, but he also definitely would NOT have agreed to compensate us for anything… that’s literally why we’re in this situation. If he was willing to pay for the work, then he’d have paid for it all the previous years we’ve been asking for it 😑

Wouldnt a glue on the non-renovated trunk help to preserve the paper? I have one that is all metal on the interior. It doesnt have the wood and i didnt realize they had wood interiors on some.

You can really screw that jerk of a landlord who lets you have a dog and go buy your own house and get out of his. Then you can do whatever you want in your own house.
@ShannonMakesКүн бұрын
I love how you’re essentially saying “he let you have a dog so stop your whining” …as if that excuses any and all other shitty things he does🤣🤣 (also, I DO own a house. My entire channel is literally about me renovating it 😉😘✌️)
