Seen these guys live a few years ago with Duval fronting and he fucking kills it on the vocals with the older songs.

I listened to this a bunch, covered it in one band, briefly, and Mr. Stanley writing and vocals was outstanding, and he was much loved by his fans.however, like ac/DC, Alice in chains is still going, with a great vocalist. And the world shouldn't stop for the band , just because Mr. Stanley couldn't overcome his Demons! Without knowing this wasn't the original, I guarantee that over half the fans wouldn't know the difference .

Só acho que o duval teria que cantar com mais emoção essa música até pq é um clássico. Layne faz falta, mas tenho que parabenizar o Duval pelo trabalho, é um excelente vocalista

Staley's voice was more raw and unique sounding, which was part of what made AIC so popular, and was kinda what the grunge era was about. But Duval does a pretty good version of his own.

"Duval's voice is great, but..." It really is great. Nobody on the planet can have the emotional connection Layne had to the lyrics.

Oh my god he butchers these songs with his frog voice. We CAN compare him to Layne because Layne sang them well and this is crap. Jerry made a mistake with this dude. Anybody around from the real AIC days knows exactly what I'm talking about . You millennials just have no balls.

I appreciate the time and effort of Duvall, but seriously, the result is something like System of a Down's reunion in 2020's. Awesome performances in the past but today's ensembles are just an instant turnoff..

Layne Staley is one of my all time favorite singers. However I think the band did a great job in having William Duvall step in because I don’t think there’s anyone else that could put there heart and soul into another persons songs like he has done. There’s no need to compare him to layne because they’re totally different ppl with their own styles.

Layne Staley is a God of vocals and I had the pleasure of seeing his final performance with AIC in Kansas City. BUT, I've seen them with William DuVall, and this man is a great talent! Well worth seeing. One of my favorite bands and they still are amazing to see. William Duvall is awesome. check him out with The Hu. Warriors Soul/This is Mongol. Best new rock song I've heard in a LONG time.

Got to meet Layne Years ago. Saw the original lineup. At this point....This is ALICE. However, I've seen cover bands that have more accurate vocals. So....what to do. Be happy theres a band from that time still playing. Musicians are dropping life flys.

The new singer sounds for me smth in between Layne and Eddie Vedder, but he is really good. William has pefrect voice but it's too clean. However i have to say Layne was an icon and the core of Alince in Chains for me. Anyway, all the best for the guys, keep living, writing and singing.

I've never seen the change of a vocalist change the soul of a band as much as in the case of AiC. Neither Sabbath when incorporating Dio nor AC/DC adding Brian had such a radical image change, and it is quite noticeable here. Not a negative review, Duvall sings a lot, has presence, energy and the band is still THE BAND! Only the audience that seems a little too apathetic for what is expected of Latin Americans. I thought that this was due to the fact that people who enjoy this sound nowadays are older, but no... I think that the children of those who lived through the peak of grunge did not inherit their parents' energy, unfortunately. See what the band achieved with the public (even with a very upset and depressed Layne) in the same Rio in 1993... That indeed was a show that broke the stratosphere, much more for the activity of the public than for the spectacle offered by the band.
