I discovered this book(s) in high school and it was jaw dropping … his personal accounts of his relationship with his torturer and outside in the frigid cold catching rats that he would rip apart and eat to stay alive. A classic.

Salaam. New sub here. I'm excited about your channel. I hope to see you tying in health and spirituality with cannabis more and more, inshallah. These types of conversations are few and far in between. Allah blessed us with an endocanabinod system as well as the cannabis plant. The creation itself is perfect. Cannabis has allowed me to cut through the Dunya at an early age. If anything it has brought me closer to Allah than my own family who have abandoned God for the Dunya.

So is vaping safer than edibles? I consume a lot of edibles, but have recently slowed down since my liver enzymes were high on my lasty blood work. I would assume vaping is safer as its not going through your liver, but I have no idea.
@lexpelgerandhisbooks
@lexpelgerandhisbooks 12 күн бұрын
I'd say it's a pretty even tradeoff. There's mild harms from both. Vapes aren't great for your lungs - but they're better than smoking. And for edibles, high liver enzymes aren't that big of a deal & we don't see any big links to liver problems from public health studies of long term edible use

What is your take on this: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8229290/ Cannabis use may be associated with adverse effects on immune function
@lexpelgerandhisbooks
@lexpelgerandhisbooks 12 күн бұрын
That's about right. Cannabinoids tend to be an immunnosuppressant (though it's always complicated). So they help for autoimmune diseases like MS, arthritis, etc. But they probably make your defense somewhat lower for regular bacterial or viral infections

Thanks for talking about this book. I first came across it because a Chinese YT channel mentioned it. However, it surprised me how little this book had been talked about in the English-speaking world! You are probably the only channel! How come? Is it because the concepts mentioned in the book contradict to the mainstream values (Abrahamic religions)?
