Should I put neosporin ointment on my toe before the dressing to prevent sticking
@BRAWLER_ZEUS7 ай бұрын
U should use silverex heal ointment instead as it is best for yhe situation it will prevent sticking and since neospurin is for mild scabs silverex is made for open wounds

You could try Foot-Rx. They are simple inserts that adhere to the top of you tongue under the laces. They prevent lace bight and help prevent pain on the top of the foot. www.amazon.com/Foot-Rx-Lace-Bite-Prevention-Inserts/dp/B09BSNDY6N/

Ok,but what happens if the pain is more on the top, on the talus-navicular joint (on the spot where the ''new balance'' logo is located)?

Ive got the same issue:/ too much slack and my heel is slipping, too tight and im losing circulation. Im considering rigging something up with velcro so I can adjust the pressure
@footcarescotlandperth24673 жыл бұрын
This won't work as your shoes will slip off. Try to avoid the lock lacing technique

I have pain there too, any suggestions?

I think you need to consider using the runner knot well. That will reduce the heel slip@@daddycubjudah

I'm 22 and got worsening symptoms same as the mild stages as this lady with cartilage damage on the bottom and now the top of the great toe already had a shot of cortisone about 2.5 months ago and symptoms have just seemed to worsen. would this be a consideration?
@footcarescotlandperth24676 жыл бұрын
Zac White yes it may be a good option for you.... but maybe not the only one! You should book an appointment with your local Podiatrist or foot surgeon- where are you based?
@zacwhite12646 жыл бұрын
have seen multiple of them and they have not mentioned this. Im Based in Melbourne Australia, They are Saying PRP is your next shot... when I see them again I will mention this

Zac White if you go directly via the Cartiva website, they may be able to point you in the direction of a Surgeon who performs the procedure. Best of luck!

Ashleigh Brice it can be a very painful condition. Cartiva may well be a good option for you! Where are you based?

Hampshire UK i have an appointment with a nhs podiatrist this month and have been offered fusion but losing all mobility isnt an option for me at this point in my life :/
@footcarescotlandperth24676 жыл бұрын
Ashleigh Brice There are some good conservative measures to try. Ask your Podiatrist about a Morton’s extension. This is a rigid plate that stops the extension of the big toe joint and manages the pain quite well. Have you tried taping the toe in the mean time?
