Schizophrenic and the pills make me tired a lot too, makes it hard to find a job as well. The tears always well up when I hear this song.

The fact that the song itself made a better video in my head says something more than enough about the lyrics.

I just recently found a new appreciation for splitsville a few weeks ago at random, it used to be a song I’d listen to passively without feeling any deeper connection to it when I first listened to it ages ago. this live version is so good, thank you 🖤

Ever since this song came out it’s been in every one of my playlists I’ve listened to it every week multiple times. I quote it to people when they need to be uplifted or when they need hope. This is is one of the greatest songs ever written. Period end of discussion. Thank you for giving this to the world.

Glad to see the singer learned how to sing his songs and not run around out of breath doing too much on stage. Wish I saw this version of them.😂

Songs like this don't really make sense until you are older in all honesty. I can relate to this so much. Got married, bought a house but barely months into moving in, she wanted to divorce so the house we bought never got lived in. Boxes still not unpacked after moving in and likely never to be unpacked.

this whole album is like when you take an evening walk and think a little too hard about the lives of the people living in the lit up houses you pass. Or looking at an old scrapbook filled with film photos of relatives you were a few decades short of meeting! I don't know of any other albums (yet!) that capture that specific feeling as well as this one does, and it's been a decade

Packing my house to move and this song has never been so relevant it's a bittersweet goodbye to my first home to my next one in a sense it's a memorial and eventually it will become memory and I want to cry tears of sadness and tears of joy a home where I watched my son go from 2 to 6 a home with many birthdays and many conversations and many cigarettes shared on the porch to tears from distrust and messy breakups to everything it's a home till it isn't anymore but in my heart this will be mine even if it's forever gone in my timeline maybe I'll look back at this later on down the road and feel different but right now I just sit in this empty space and the white walls that encase me feel silent

The industry may be rough and the economy of being a band like this one might be a struggle but La Dispute is one of the art endeavours I cherish most in this world. I'm grateful for everything you've poured into this band and this music because it's been endlessly inspiring to me. I hope to see you live one day again.
