I had one of these, but you need to put an out rigger support for when you lift heavy items and do not want to bend your truck bed. Weld an arm with gussets from your bed to hold a Bull Dog side winder tongue jack to the arm. You can wind it down to the ground when lifting to take the weight off of your bed and transfer it to the jack.

That’s funny took off oem shocks cause of a fender rub put airshocks on an still put back at the same height as oem should’ve went up to atleast 35 or 40 psi I’m saying this cause I didn’t see a difference an I’ve rode on airshocks not to mention I have a 07 towncar on 20x8 rims with 245/45 tires an the back rubs so I had to sit up in the back higher than this I also have to do the front too

I put anti seize all over that swingarm bolt when I took mine apart. It is easy to remove since then however was a real struggle getting it out the 1st time.

I had the same problem removing the swing arm on a XR 200, a total nightmare....had to cut it off.

Did you get decent icp readings? Mine are all over the place. 3126e. 66k miles. Low on power by 80hp

@@simpleliving5389 I have 100% confidence in high quality high pressure hose, i am not concerned of that at all. Obviously if that concerns you, you could always make metal lines instead though.

Was Boost not one of the X gauges you can input ? I've got a Diesel pusher motor home with a 3126E Cat on a Freightliner XC Custom chassis but it only has a few instruments for the engine, water temp, rpm, volts, and fuel gauge. Was hoping to add, boost, trans temp, oil temp etc. Thanks for posting.

It reads boost. Its been awhile since i set it up to remember if that was x gauge or already came setup to read it.

@@coolhandluke85 Good news. Thanks. On the way to the Beach(Myrtle Beach, S.C.) after filling up I glanced down and the oil pressure was zero. Yikes. But, Since it's a Heui system it can't run without oil pressure, and the engine temp was ok we continued on. I noticed when I restarted it all the gauges did the initial sweep except the oil pressure gauge which still read zero. About 20 minutes later I looked down and the oil pressure gauge was reading 40 lbs. I've had the scangauge D for a year or two but never got around to installing it. I'm going to try and install it before heading home. Thanks.

I had the same problem with the swingarm bolt on the XR I bought. I don't think it was ever taken out and it was frozen solid. The swingarm had to be cut out and replaced. I make sure to keep it greased with Bel Ray waterproof grease.

I've got two Super AV's I've been restoring. I got them both driving and braking but haven't tackled the touch control unit yet. Leaks bad and needs a rebuild. Was it a hard job? I will admit that I find hydraulics a little intimidating. Also, I highly recommend getting a weight for the right side rear wheel. They are much more stable that way. The AVs and the Hi-Clears have the same rear wheels as a Super C so that's the weight type you would need. Enjoyed the video!

Awesome, thanks for the info. The touch control job wasn’t bad at all just alot of small parts that need to be laid out in order on a clean surface as you go. And take plenty of pictures, videos as it comes apart. I used transmission assembly grease to hold things together while reassembling.

That swingarm looked the worst I have seen for being seized !!! First thing I done was take that apart and heavily grease up mine wasn't too bad luckily . Good job 👍

Nice mod. I love the on road footage! Sounds just like a 950G! I have replaced a few of those Heui pumps before... I like to get em before they go catastrophic! I have heard of people installing mag plugs in the oil rail that can be pulled and inspected for metal too. I haven't done it personally tho. I would change those hoses at 100k miles too 🤣

They are a cool little tool🤙 Think i'll pick one up. Used to have the normal version and used it to diagnose and clear many codes on cars untill I lost it. I work for a cat dealer and have the laptop but this would be faster for quick code retrieval :)

All the J1939 code numbers are pretty standard so you should be able to just google them for the meaning

I just purchased the exact same crane. Same issue the bearings are rusted but worse than yours, it was also laying on a pallet in the rain and snow. But I’m unable to loosen the nut to take the bearings out. Any tips you can give would be appreciated. Loved your modifications. I ordered the same Warn 5000 DC winch. Nice to see it be brought back to life. Well done.

If u have access to a welder i would weld a bar to it then cut it off after u get it off Also heat it up too, it should help. You will be happy with the crane once u get it fixed up. Any other questions feel free to ask

Great advice, I just managed to get it off. There was so much rust and dirt on it I didn’t notice it had a set pin thank god it was brass because it didn’t damage the threads I was able to use a hammer chisel I was just confused as to why it was such a struggle the whole time I was hitting it with the hammer and chisel. Just have to clean up the bearings and see if they are salvageable. Did you replace them. Was it expensive? Cheers!

@@130ambulance ok that is good u got it off. Mine didn’t have a set pin, probably was apart before or something. I only had to replace one bearing, and i found it pretty cheap on ebay. If u can’t read numbers off ure bearings I should be able to look up what i bought.
