On Ischia there are also these snow holes, but the ones I've seen are much much narrower (and hence look much deeper). With the weather we have in the 2000's I wouldn't have guessed how it was used back then :)

I always love to listen to the stories your dad wants to share. It's like we are right there with him- this time being locked in the Kitchen Garden, and eventually freed again.

My husband and I are about you and Carlo's age. We have children Sky's age, and it's hard not to think that you both are living my dream life. I guess that's why you have a KZfaq channel, and I don't. One day, we will retire and find our own slice of peace & beauty. Until then, we can watch you and Carlo and dream :)

Love your utube. I rarely make any comment, but i thought about you this morning when I was just about to set off from the Scottish Borders to the Isle of Wight. I nearly forgot my phone which I had put on charging. I recently recommended to a friend who was staying in Sorrento to catch the public bus to Positano and then walk down to the blue star boat to catch the boat to Amalfi. Then get bus all the way back to Sorrento. She thanked me the other day. Perhaps Elizabeth sold her a ticket?

What a great job on the ugly sofa set! It is pretty solid so I doubt you'd have got the same quality for the 500 euros you ended up spending. The low walls and new paint job have really transformed that outside area into somewhere lovely to sit, rather than just a big front step! Loved seeing the pipes and drum (Scottish girl here) - what was that in aid of, football coming up? Edinburgh airport was awash yesterday morning with men in kilts heading off to Germany!

I’ve been living in three different houses in two different countries for the last year. After 4years in Germany, we moved back home to the US (Minnesota) for our “final” career move. A few months after moving and getting our household good and integrating ours with our youngest daughter, our other daughter was transferred from Alconbury UK to St Louis Illinois. Because she needed a hand with childcare and a car, I drove down in November and have been there since. Can’t wait to get back home with my husband and see what comes next. Miss my doggie and cat very much. But love time spent with my daughter and granddaughter! But I get the discombobulated feeling living in different houses…

I like the videos with your Dad. He seems so kind and gentle. Also - who knew that scrap iron dealers do the same thing here in the Caribbean - they drive around with a loud speaker yelling ' scrap iron buying , old battery buying' its a bit of a joke here.

Glad the lift is finished as she will be able to go down to the centre when she feels up to it. Now your garden… it was so sad to see it in such a state 😢. Unfortunately many people are way too dependant on electronics. Many can't even read road maps anymore. Everybody should have one in their car and telephone numbers etc. in a paper address book/agenda.
