I love that Carlo is doing things when the wife is gone. He's putting his own stamp on the house and he's being creative all on his own. LOVE IT - keep it up Carlo!!!! The porch turned out amazing. The chairs..I would paint the wood and change the covers and add pillows. This is a perfect lesson to all of us that we need to let go of control and let others flourish in their own way vs our way.

One of the cutest things about Carlo is that he seems to have no idea how cute he is.

I have to say @NickiPositano I am very impressed by the viewer engagement on this video. Quite the hornet’s nest and a very clever way to get the viewers commenting and communicating. True, it has come at your expense, however I appreciate your courage at sharing your lives so openly and honestly. There are countless perfectly curated and overly positive KZfaq videos which often show only the highlights reel of a life but your lives in these videos are documented in ways many long lasting couples can relate to. We’re all capable of each and every trait and while positive comments have gone Carlo’s way I have no doubt the sweetest and softest part of Nicki is reserved for him, not to people please viewers. Dig deeper people, there’s a reason it works and let’s not be so judgemental that we end up losing this unique window into a life well lived.

I am one of those women who is “lucky” to be married to a “Carlo”. I hear all the time how I’m lucky. But if you asked our husbands they’ll tell you they are the lucky ones 😉 folks need to respect Nicki for all the time she puts into her work and making these videos we enjoy weekly. Heck my husband was pushing me to post this in support of Nicki. Carlos is a lucky fella too!

I am so impressed with Carlo's handyman skills. He has so much talent. That porch/patio look so much better with the wall around it. I love how the house is coming together.

I love what you have done to the kitchen and the walls that Carlo has built outside. You have both worked so hard. I don’t understand why people feel the need to post negative comments. I find your vlogs really enjoyable to watch.

So many opinions on their relationship and interactions. They have been together for 20 yrs , We only see part of their life, part of their communications. part of their conversations about plans, feelings etc etc. The comment section is out of hand. Both Nicki and Carlo have many wonderful aspects to them. There is genuine love between them. I'm sure these comments aren't just hurting Nicki, I'm sure they are also hurting Carlo because he loves Nicki and there is so much judgement happening. And only they know how much they have been dealing with in real life.

You two crack me up. When the cat's away the mice will play. When Carlos leaves the handrail disappears, and when Nicky's away the patio furniture appears. I think used and refurbished outdoor furniture is ideal because no matter what you spend, the weather always degrades it and it has to be replaced. This way you don't have to spend a fortune every time. I think with a coat of outdoor paint, maybe a sage green and a lighter color green cushion, you could add throw pillows with splashes of terra cotta and green and you will have a lovely, cozy, outdoor space. That little housewares store you visited had some great ideas. Love your videos. Caio for now.

I agree with Carlo, the small wall will give it more “Curb Appeal”, if you will. I like the fact that you walk right onto the front patio/porch without any steps…the mini wall, flowers & color look beautiful!

I’m sure Nicki is not “mad” at all…just joking a bit about things that got done or purchased differently than they BOTH agreed. There is this phenomenon that other women try to remind you of how wonderful your husband is, almost shaking a finger at you to pay attention before they snatch him up, when you know perfectly well he’s a gem and you do appreciate him. My husband and I owned a business together. We could both be working equally hard and other women would “coo” over him constantly and talk about all that he did, and overlook my equal contributions. Carlo is wonderful, but the truth is they are an equal and wonderful TEAM. ❤❤

Overall, I wish some of your viewers would employ a little more humor and a lot less judgment in their assessments; especially regarding your relationship. As married partners, I assume you both recognize each others strengths and weaknesses.I actually find it refreshing that you both are so "real" on screen, when so many feel they have to put on a facade. It's not unusual for couples to delegate and divide overall aesthetic design vs. other types of contributions when renovating a home. With both of your efforts, the house is really becoming very charming. The porch wall is a stroke of genius! Looking forward to next week's video!

I think it's incredible how Carlo is capable of so many good and different ideas. He's the kind of man you know you can count on to see any kind of work through to the end. What you did to the house while Nicki was away was great.

The transformation of the patio was phenomenal and looks incredible. The patio furniture looks wonderfully comfortable and sturdy. Maybe an ash color stain. I would applaud him for what he has done. He did it all with love.

The dynamics of a couple are unique to them. Obviously, Nicki and Carlo have been together for many years, and they will be together and in love for a thousand more. How they interact works for them, and not only, how they interact is the mechanism that makes them as a couple/a family flourish and grow and be successful AND happy 360 degrees. If you don't like how they are, leave and go work on your own problems. As far as I'm concerned, Nicki and Carlo are both fabulous and complement each other perfectly. You are so fortunate to have Carlo who can do so many things and he does have an eye for decorating and designing. The furniture he bought I rather like, its vintage and if you change the cushions first then see how you like it, you might just add some outdoor throw pillows to give it a little more rather than painting the beautiful dark wood, which I find actually goes well with the wall color - which you mentioned you will be painting the house a shade lighter than. Don't be disturbed by Carlo doing things without you, we don't always need to be in control, but embrace that he actually has an eye and vision that can melt in with yours.

The porch small wall looks perfect. Good idea the dogs washing station. For the patio furniture just strip the wood and stain a clear tone and new covers. 👍

Carlo has a great heart full of goodness. It seems to me that he wants to make a contribution and he makes many many amazing ones. One can disagree with appreciation and kindness and/or a sense of humor not to hurt someone's feelings or with a little self-deprecation.

The furniture set is not - absolutely not - ugly. Just cover the cushions, Girl, and leave the beautiful wood as is. It was a great purchase. Appreciate Carlos efforts. 🙏👍🏽💕

Once the cushions are reupholstered they will be beautiful. My parents have that set in their porch and it’s so comfy. My mom chose a beautiful floral fabric and you focus on the pattern of the fabric and don’t notice the wood color. Add gorgeous pillows and a pretty throw and it will be perfect.
