What model soldering iron do you use?

Tries this and i broke completely my game lol....

I'm getting ready to buy one- most likely the 3.1S version(I see on the official store page, it has a 5.0/5.0 rating from customers, so no negative ratings), but I see that they changed the mcu from an STM32 to an MM32? Would that change the effectiveness and quality of the product? I know they're both ARM controllers. (I must admit, I'll be jealous of the peeps who managed to get the originals with the STM32)

I know you said no big deal but I’m disappointed by the lack of beveled pcb edge on my Saroo cart. I don’t have the equipment for doing that myself. Hopefully newer models have this. Either way, I learned my lesson not to order from AliExpress without seeing clear shots of the pcb bevel ps lots of useful info in this video! Thank you! I am definitely not expecting 100% accuracy - I will still use disc drive and satiator when that’s more critical

A question that is slightly off-topic. I have a tiny OLED screen where the bandcable is partially seperating from the PCB. Would hitting the top work like you show at 4:57 to sort of "reflow" it back on the PCB?

I tried this method with my wii U that have an 160-0103 error, it doesn't work, if this because the NAND is dead?

Hey Voultar, when you are recapping do you use polymer or electrolytic caps? Im new to this and Im seeing that electrolytic caps will eventually start leaking again causing the same problem. Polymer caps shouldn't have fluid and wont leak? I can't tell if console5 uses electrolytic or polymer caps. Thanks for a great tutorial!

Hi, I have a Saroo cartridge, works great with SD card but returns an error message saying ‘disk is not game disk’ when I select the menu choice ‘Load game disk’….any ideas? 👍

I brought a Game Gear from a store a while back . The goon I bought it from said it was refurbished . Like every retro console I buy I open it up to give them an inspection and clean . It turned out it had the screen mod which I didn't mind . What I did mind is the idiot used glue to stick the screen on and the soldering was probably done buy a 2 year old from the look of it . I'm an amateur at modding but that job made me look like a Einstein modder . The price I paid for it I could've bought one 3x cheaper and done a better job myself .
