The problem with your automation is that Outlook is good only for a finite number of such rules (256KB in total). I'm subscribed to a large number of newsletters and your solution wouldn't work. One rule that filters practically 99,95% of my newsletters to a specific folder is a rule that moves all emails that have the word "unsubscribe" in it. A lot of space for other rules saved. ;)

How can Mike not get an email when every task is assigned (as at 13:35), and rather just receive the notifications in Teams? (One of the points for all this is to cut down on gratuitous emails.)

Do you know if the meeting notes work in recurring meetings yet when you need notes for each time you meet?
@officeskillswithamy
@officeskillswithamy 5 күн бұрын
Hello! This is a good question! I've just played around with this and when you create the recurring meeting and add the collaborative notes, then those become the 'template' notes for that meeting. But when you update these in the meeting, they only update that event. Then when you are in Loop, when you select the notes in Meeting Notes then it takes you to the Meeting Series so that you can easily reference the other meeting notes. I hope that this helps, as you can see I got a little carried away 🤓

Good morning, question I want to link the three forms that I developed in Microsoft list so that once a user fills out the first one, they can click next to move on to the next, and when they're done, they can submit it and it will be sent to me in PDF format. Is it possible to accomplish that?
@officeskillswithamy
@officeskillswithamy 4 күн бұрын
Thank you for the comment. If the forms are to be completed consecutively, it may be easier to have just one form to manage. Also the Forms feature built into Lists is a bit limiting. If you use Microsoft Forms then there is additional functionality that may be better for you. Forms Responses can be recorded in Lists via Power Automate, you can check out my other video here if you decide to go that route. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oc2aiqheuNGtXZs.html

Hello Amy, I need help. I placed a Concatenate formula within Sharepoint to separate my courses by year and month, but the years are not chronological. What should I do to make the dates appear chronologically, January 2023, February 2023, March 2023, April 2023. Right now you can see that the year for February 2024 comes before March 2023. I do not know what I'm doing wrong or how to change it for the years to be chronological. =CONCATENATE(TEXT([Folder Structure Date],"mm"),"-",TEXT([Folder Structure Date],"mmmm-yyyy"))

@@officeskillswithamy Hello Amy. That video did not show how I could ensure that my dates would fall in order chronologically. Do you have any suggestions in ref to the above formula that I've shown, and how to sort my lists so the header can show in a chronological order?
@officeskillswithamy
@officeskillswithamy 9 күн бұрын
@@laurasenn8598 I am sorry to hear that. The only other suggestion would be to put the year first and then month second but based on the above, I am not sure if that would fix it either. If the filters don't work then it almost seems like a glitch and it could be worth sending feedback to MS or it may fix itself on the next update.

@officeskillswithamy
@officeskillswithamy 19 күн бұрын
This is not possible unfortunately, calculated columns only work within their row. Depending on your circumstance, if you are wanting a sequential number in your concatenated column you could use the ID # column as this will pull #1, 2, 3 and so on.

Thanks for your prompt reply. For clarity I am trying to join 3 text columns from the same row to have their own line in the same "cell". I tried adding <br/> but that no longer works, then char(13) like you can in excel, I even tried changing the JSON but couldn't get any to work 😢 As you said, I don't think it's currently possible.

can I use lookup with conditions?
@officeskillswithamy
@officeskillswithamy 19 күн бұрын
If you are saying if x then lookup list A or if y then lookup List B, then unfortunately this is not directly possible. You could look at creating a Form with branching that would then feed into Lists using Power Automate. But the form wouldn't be able to pull values from the list, it would need to be predefined in the Form. Best of luck!

Thank you for the comment Alan! To be honest, I am not sure. I guess that it would depend if the next version of Sharepoint would inherit version 2 customizations. If it didn't, then I am sure it would be a quick and easy update to the conditional formatting JSON 🤓 What do you think?
