You are right, two movies are by him ("Ivan's Childhood" and "Andrei Rublev"), the other four by other directors are: "Man with a Movie Camera", "The Cranes are Flying", "Letter Never Sent" and "The Ascent". All those movies are also listed in my description when you click on it. 😉

I admire and highly appreciate works by Tarkovski, and will be looking for to check works of these other artists that were presented in the video. I'm not familiar with their oeuvre.

Dr Zhivago is not just a love story, it is a warning to America that when you lose Free Speech *anything* you say that *"the Party"* considers to be politically incorrect could cost you your freedom or your life. This was during the time of the Russian revolution where if you didn't join "the collective" you are considered an enemy of " the people" - America is headed there by leaps and bounds.

People hate what they don’t understand. This is art. I definitely think the script could have been more respectful of Marilyn but it’s based on a fictional book. This truly is unfathomably stunning cinematography.

Not really. MGM commissioned Alex North, who had done the music for Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove and Spartacus, to score the ape scenes and the subsequent scenes with Heywood Floyd approaching and docking with the Orbiter Hilton. Kubrick had favored using classical music for those, but the movie company insisted he give North a try. After hearing an orchestra play what North wrote, Kubrick stuck with his original plan to go with Zarathusrta and the Blue Danube. It wasn't a lack of budget.

He wore a fat suit and had to go through the makeup process for several hours each morning. So, it's basically practical effects and almost no CGI was used. In my opinion, there is a good reason why this movie got the Academy Award for best makeup. 😉

This movie has inspired me to lose weight. I’m not obese like Charlie but ever since I’ve started college I’ve been neglecting my body and weight and It’s been really hard adjusting to my new weight since I’ve been rather healthy for most of my life after seeing this movie I plan on losing it and striving to make my body better than ever. Thank you Darren Aronofsky, Samuel Hunter, and Brendan Fraser.

The MIX of emotions that this film gave me... sad, sympathetic, angry, happy, heart-warming, empathetic, frustrated, and admiration. It was SO HARD to watch!! But WELL WORTH watching! What a beautiful and gentle man with GENUINE hurt, DEEP pain and regret for doing something wrong to his daughter! He still believed in the goodness of people, despite what he LOST and how he was treated. He PAYED for his mistakes with all the self-sabotaging he did! He lost the love of his life and started hurting himself because of that. A good man trying to redeem himself... Brendan MORE THAN DESERVED his oscar! UNBELIVEABLE acting, and his performance has the POWER to raise awareness, influence, and help others who are going or could go through the same thing. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

What’s wrong? Anyways Hong Chau is Vietnamese not Chinese. According to the source material, Liz was just specified to be someone of Asian descent. It did not specify further as to which part of Asia
