Inaccurate comment on the desirability for HP batteries on this tool as it doesn’t even have the additional electrical contacts to make use of the extra performance of HP batteries. Regular Ryobi 18V batteries work just fine with this tool to gain the benefits of the brushless motor and is what comes with the kit (saw, battery, charger) product. Otherwise the chain tensioner knob setup works perfectly well in my experience. Much easier than bringing out the spanner.

I have one and and haven’t had a problem. I also have the Milwaukee m12 it’s only used for small branches 3-6 inches that one has a larger battery than the Milwaukee they all will stop through thicker branches so you don’t burn it out if you don’t push down and let the tool do the work it’s fine they say it’s a oil free chain although it doesn’t have a oil compartment like the Milwaukee so they are saying to take the cover off and clean the saw dust then spay lubricant on the parts but I still oil the chain.

Absolutely! All chains can bog down if used without finess. Here, Ryobi even provided indicator LEDs to assist with one’s application of the tool. Bit of a rambling review that’s lacking careful thoughts.

As an aerospace design engineer I understand your overall comments about the product, yet I'm dubious that you've ever met a product in which you did not believe you could have designed to be significantly better :)

As for the gauges only going up to 120psi.. How would you know if the tank is being over-pressured if you are not measuring it? Fill it up on a freezing morning, and then look at the pressure once the day warms up. If it stopped at 120, how would you know what pressure it is?

before saying it has plenty of power maybe compare to specs. When one expects 1800 in-lb but only gets 800 that is NOT plenty.

Where did you buy it I have the same one, with the orange stripe down the handle, seeing some subcompacts that only have a solid grey handle, did we buy fakes?

To me most important info is MPS chain speed, HD list it at 21 which is pretty good, but I just cant stand that upside down/sideways battery placement. It works good on their skill-saw but not chainsaw....

1) I have no problem modulating lower speeds. That's why it's a 2 speed drill, put it in the lower speed. 2) It does have a ratcheting lock for the chuck. Maybe yours is gummed up, or you just didn't try? I haven't had any problem with bits coming out, maybe if it's something tiny like 1/16". 3) It's a homeowner grade drill, not really meant for (larger) auger bits. Any tool, you have to put in the context of what it's meant for vs the cost. I don't ever put the handle on. 4) The best way to look at it is a drill that uses the same batteries as all your other Ryobi 18V products. I would not buy only one Ryobi tool if a type of tool where you can get Milwaukee, or Dewalt, etc contractor grade instead as a drill is so versatile and often the first cordless tool that someone buys, but at the same time you likely don't need all your drills to be premium quality, just the ones that do the toughest tasks. This drill is for when you don't need that.

DONT EVER EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT. why??? ANSWER === if you ever lost a charge cable, or if your charger cable ever stopped working, then DON'T BUY this "EVERSTART MAXX" (the product in this video) SINCE YOU WILL NEVER EVER be able to use this flashlight ever again, since YOU WON'T BE ABLE to charge it up ever again (IF YOU EVER FIND IT, PLEASE PLACE THE LINK HERE). === you will need to look for a very rare unique exclusive hard to find USB to USB CHARGER CABLE. IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND it ON AMAZON OR ON GOOGLE (DID YOU FIND IT?? HOW MUCH YOU SPENT ON THE TASK, HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FOR YOU TO FIND IT, HOW MUCH YOU SPENT TILL YOU FOUND IT??).. I have already spent 4x the price of this product on AMAZON trying to find the right cable...and SO FAR, I HAVE NOT BEING ABLE TO RECHARGE this product. APRIL 2024. I gave up....and will just F***** burn it in the firepit W.I.T.H. A F.U.C.K.I.N.G. TREMENDOUS PLEASURE. if you are looking for a very unique and extraordinary wild f.u.c.k.i.n.g. pleasurer, then you buy it (lose your money), but then BURN IT with that revenged pleasure as though you accomplished something in life. (NOTICE: I do have all kinds of cables for: all GOPRO products, ALL SONY products, ALL Marantz cable products, ALL Bower & Wilkins cable products, ALL Rotel Products cables, ALL LG CABLES, ALL DJI drones cables, ALL gimbles cables, ALL kinds of batteries cables, ALL ADTs cables, ALL small speakers cables, all headphone and all headsets cable, all Bluetooth speaker cables, ---------------> NONE (N.O.N.E.) NONE WORKS WITH THIS PRODUCT. so if you really want to be the dumbest person in the planet, then you buy this product after reading this and make a video on KZfaq and TICKTOCK.....face-turquoise-covering-eyesyt3.ggpht.com/H2HNPRO8f4SjMmPNh5fl10okSETW7dLTZtuE4jh9D6pSmaUiLfoZJ2oiY-qWU3Owfm1IsXg=w24-h24-c-k-nd

Yeah, the focus beam is too strong. Who out there could make the best generic battery powered handheld light? Seems every brand is missing the mark at design when it comes to making these cheap lights. They are always screwing something up, or forgetting a feature. These companies have the R&D budget to make something like the multi pattern hoes nozzles for flashlights. That's what i wanna see.
