Join the Branca Bus as they invite you on a comprehensive tour of their lovingly renovated 1990 Bluebird bus conversion. Transforming a public transport bus into a delightful mobile home, this family showcases the fruits of their creativity and hard work.
🍳 Kitchen: The heart of their bus is a beautifully lit kitchen, thanks to the preserved original bus windows. It boasts ample counter space for both cooking and hosting. Key features include a compact fridge, a five-burner propane stove, and an expansive sink that also serves as practical storage while traveling. An 80-gallon water tank ensures water availability for several days.
🍽️ Dining Area: Adjacent to the kitchen is a quaint dining area, where they enjoy meals and coffee. This space also cleverly converts into a daybed. The table, handcrafted and painted by the family, adds a unique charm to their meals.
🛠️ Build and Costs: Though they didn't keep all receipts, Matias and Carola estimate that their entire project, including the bus purchase and conversion materials, cost around $18,000. The bus itself was a bargain at about $3,000.
🛋️ Living Room: Opposite the kitchen lies the living room, featuring a multifunctional pull-out couch that doubles as a bed for guests. The couch, constructed from recycled memory foam, is a favored spot for the family and their pets.
🚪 Driver Area and Features: The original driver's area is transformed with wooden paneling, a shoe cabinet, and the preserved original glove compartment, adding a vintage touch. The hallway sports a creatively repurposed rearview bus mirror, now serving as a full-length mirror.
🚽 Bathroom: Despite its compact size, the bathroom is fully equipped with a wall-mounted sink, composting toilet, and a spacious shower with a rainwater shower head, connected to a gray water tank.
🛏️ Master Bedroom: The rear of the bus houses a queen-size bed with ample under-bed storage. A window AC unit and a unique side door enhance comfort and ventilation.
🚪 Wood Trimming and Storage: The bus features wood accents throughout, harmonizing with the gold and orange interior theme. The bunk beds provide additional sleeping space, and the handcrafted closet offers significant storage.
🔨 DIY Journey: Tackling the bus conversion empowered them, teaching them valuable skills in plumbing, electrical work, and solar installations, one step at a time.

They are a sweet couple, and I love how they keep their animals as part of the family! She gives off a warm, welcoming, come to my kitchen, let's have a cup of tea vibe. And he definitely loves his new chapter of his life, you can tell he is a proud king. Great bus conversion team!

Oh very nice , love the timber used throughout and how you have have incorporated a hall, It is a nice feature & makes the bus look larger plus divides the kitchen and living area from the back , Plenty of storage , Epic Full bathroom, Lovely sized sleeping area . You folks have created a masterpiece tiny home that has everything You even have comfy areas for your pets , Well done I love it !🥰 best design i've seen

Absolutely love their bus and the dedication they have that made their dream come true. It's so critical that a woman can follow her man and believe in his vision for their future. My ex didn't trust my vision and purposefully hindered my progress which led to our divorce. I was not discouraged and believed in myself and happy to report I was able to completely 100% pay off my mortgage last year and even retired early. I vacation internationally quite frequently and have an abundance of peace, quiet, freedom and finances. She actually blessed me by removing herself from the relationship and allowed me to prosper in ways I never thought possible. God bless you and your family.

And the other way around!! Both must be in sync & want to follow & help each other! I was the one with the vision. I did all the research & studying. I designed our tiny house to full minuscule detail during the pandemic-written & drawn & even named! I had people & connections that would help with the buying & building. I had lengthy conversations about it all & what our plans could be… My now ex-husband acted like all was perfect, while pretending to work more for us. All the while having hidden visions to allow for gambling, drugs, prostitutes & destroying any good or love that came during this pandemic! So… women should NOT just follow. No one should. We should all use discernment & lead the way together, arm in arm 🙏❤️‍🩹🙏 Glad you’re doing better now!

Hi guys, wow what a fantastic looking bus looks wonderful just proves you don’t have to have a big place to be happy. I live in a three bedroom house and only use not even half of it up the good work. Enjoy your life from Australia
