I'm curious, is there a specific reason the patterned bubble was puntied/put away and picked up on a collar later rather than just being stuffed into a color cup while still on it's original pipe? Only thing I can think of is breaking up the time (that extensive threading/melting in must have taken ages).

Hi Michael, It's great to watch your video. I have been practicing the skills in this video, it's hard for me to pull the glass in such a calm and steady way. May you share any tips for me? Thank you!!!!!

Why does he jerk the pipe across the arms of his chair? I’ve watched several videos and I can’t tell if it serves any purpose or if it’s a habit. I’ll go rewatch another video and time the area I’m speaking of...

Do you mean right about when he's about to sit down and the blowpipe is resting on the arm and is tilted downward a bit? Some of it I'm guessing is just to maneuver himself into the seat and sort of stepping "around" the blowing end of the pipe. But also I think it's to give the glass a little bit of time to elongate, hence the downward tilt.
@VetroVeroGlassblowingStudio

the only other thing i can think of is when he wants josie to stop blowing and just moves the pipe away instead of telling her. but i don't think i see that happening here... plus, to your point, @atombob, there is a hefty mass of glass there -- heavy stuff to stretch out without using the rail.

If you are a master of this technique and show this in a video then it seems as if everything is very obvious. This requires many years of experience and practice and a lot of specific knowledge of the different techniques to be able to do this. It is absolutely fantastic to see this excellent craftsmanship. Fabulous. You are the grandmaster.
