A quick question, if you know the answer... I have a theodolite with a laser plummet. However, the tripod has a plumb bob hook inside the tripod screw. This works well for when I attach a plumb bob. However, this interferes with the laser dot which become quite blurry and poorly defined. What do people do in this situation?

Yes we have the same issue, all you need to do is tilt the hook to the side by rotating it a bit and the laser becomes clear

I'm a survey studient in at Bulawayo polytechnic in Zimbabwe we are in need of these please help with just 5 technology is advancing but we are stuck with old ways using tapes please please help just 5 will make a huge difference so that we go to our attachment with a bit of knowledge of how these work

Very cool, reminds me of days back at uni but actual use of the machines was pretty limited! Being able to virtually perform the same tests and become familiar with the equipment would be very useful.

Finally, a person who can explain the Total-station. There are no other videos that show this many details. I would love to see more about this. I never new the laser was in the eye piece. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

at 2:10 is the first reading of vertical angle and first reading of horizontal angle , you use the reading at 4:21 for each and deduct from the first at 2:10 for each horizontal and vertical. the vertical angle means the height between point A and B vertically which is very low. which is around 94 - 86 = 8 degrees

I think you mean named after Daniel Bernoulli, not Giovanni. Trouble is as a family the Bernoulli's were truly exceptional. Otherwise nice demo

no i meant what i said which is giovanni battista venturi he is the discoverer of the Venturi effect that is used in this experiment to reduce fluid pressure as you will see in the video. i didnt say giovanni bernoullis :-) , i hope its clear for you now, thank you for the comment though.
