Thanks for comparing the two machines...very useful. I have a manual Big Shot and am wondering if you have ever tried the Gemini Fabric Cutting Dies in the Sizzix.?? I see that there is a Gemini Block Builder system and wondered if it would work with my Big Shot plate system or if I would need a metal shim too. Would love to know your experiences. Thanks. Sylvi

I completely agree with you. I had the Gemini and in 8 months replaced the magnetic plate once and bought 5 replacement cutting plates. I've had my Big Shot Switch Plus since February 22 and I haven't had to replace the plates yet. I just take them into the kitchen every few weeks and scrub the plates clean of paper particles with hot water and a nail brush. If I wished for anything it would be if the base plate could be made of a more lightweight material. Other than that, the Switch is the winner against all the electronic machines imo. Thanks so much for doing this vid. The other thing I absolutely love about the Switch is the flat top that I can rest the plates on between use.

I have all my Lavinia Stamps stored in thick clear plastic CD pockets. I made clear plastic dividers, labelled them, rounded the corners, and sorted the stamps into themes, Foliage, Fairies, etc, The stamps are then stored into open top plastic boxes which means the stamps are easy to see and find what I am looking for. All neat and tidy!

The Gemini does look smaller and sleeker compared to the Sizzix. That's a big factor for me who don't like bulky machines.

It's definitely a European plug. A US plug is much smaller and doesn't have a ground prong. I like this design a lot more than the original Gemini machine.

This is a great idea, especially how you categorized the stamps. One tip I have is to round the corners of the clear acetate that the stamp is stuck to. The sharp corners caused me to rip a few cellophane packages when removing and returning the stamps. ❤

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the making of this book. It is so unique compared to most of the memory books that I see. You did a fantastic job, and it is a great gift!

My stencils are in large folders all cataloged My main stamps are cataloged onto acertate paper and tested than filed into files the same way you do under categories. My tiny pound stamps are also kept in their sleeves I just cut the tops off mine as well & maker sure that stamp sticker is okay and I record the Lavinia number on my list with a tick so I know that I have the stamp. My miscellaneous stamps I put on acetate sheets and store in folders due to space constraints. I also have the front listed with what stamps are were on my computer as well as a card file with the names, yearly seasons and occasions all recorded onto card files as well so I can easily find what I’m looking for to use. It was nice to hear I’m handeling them all the right way as I definitely wasn’t sure I had been till seeing your video. Thank you for creating your video, I can stop worrying now, if I’ve id been looking after my stamps the right way your video has shown me I am doing the right things.

I've just received my first order from crafty flair. I ordered two different gilding polish bundles, one of which came with stencils. I never realised that each colour comes with an applicator sponge that is stored in the lid.
