Donna Summer had The Eve Gene. The true definition of I'm Every Woman. She was so much more than just disco (which was a great genre unto itself). Should've had even more hits in the 80's and 90's. The woman was a truly gifted singer. ♥♥

Her eldest daughter Mimi is the one singing with her. Finale footage from her 83 concert tour which included Musical Youth (Unconditional Love), cast, crew, family members and kids at the end. Originally there was to be an entire professional chorus of children singing this on stage with her live but because the taping of the show ran past 10:30pm the children were not allowed to take part. Sad it would've been even more awesome live video with this and deserving a la Michael Jackson. But it turned out quite nicely nonetheless. State Of Independence is a wonderful song produced by Quincy Jones. The template for We Are The World. Very zen. Should've been a bigger hit.

Pocas voces como la que nos brindo Donna Summer tenía una voz increible con todo tipo de matices en una misma canción podía cambiar y flexibilizar su voz como casi nadie lo podía hacer la única para mi que se podía igualar es Whitney Houston para mi las dos mejores cantantes de la historia cada una con su estilo Donna Summer mucho más completa en cuanto a que durante su carrera canto todo tipo de estilos musicales aunque fue conocida como la Reina de la música Disco 💿 y desde luego que lo fue pero su repertorio es impresionante yo la empecé a seguir desde su primer éxito en Europa porque ella empezó su carrera de éxitos desde Alemania con el sello Múnich Machine con Giorgio Moroder y Pete Bellote lo demás es historia maravillosa he increible como un LP Doble titulado erase una vez que era como cuento y donde ya empezó a introducir la moda de empezar a escuchar 👂 el disco y de un tirón hasta el final todas las canciones empalmadas como se decía en aquella epoca lo mismo que como quien dice también lo supersingles con canciones que llegaban a durar 23 minutos o más fue una época inolvidable para mí que tuve la suerte de poder vivir aquella época también tuvo un récord en ser la única cantante en colocar en la lista billboart 3 álbumes dobles al mismo tiempo ⏳ y año y a lo largo de su carrera vendió más de 200 millones de 💿 discos que muy pocoas lo han logrado forever Donna summer historia de la música con letras de Oro 🥇 💕💞💖❤️🔥❤️🩹❤❤💞💕

Not true. Fake news. They were just recently all together for Brooklyn’s documentary on her mom, Love To Love You Donna Summer in 2023. Family all together this year as well for a reunion. Nothing but smiles from the pictures I saw. Donna raised her daughters well. A reflection of the beautiful soul she was. Bottom line, don’t believe everything one reads. 🤷🏽♂️

What a wonderful version of Dan's song. I didn't hate disco, but it was not my favorite genre of music. That said, Donna Summer had a wonderful voice, and I think that Dan, who was and still is, my favorite American songwriter, would be pleased with Donna's version of Netherlands.

Da quando l'ho ascoltata la prima volta nel lontano 1977 mi sono innamorato della sua voce e della sua immagine. Ascolto ancora spesso le sue canzoni perché le trovo attuali; Donna con la sua voce fantastica poteva cantare tutto! Mi manca molto!!!

Donna Summer is the most versatile female singer that ever recorded music. The song you heard here "On My Honor" is on the iconic Bad Girls Double Album which turns 45 this year.

Donna Summer could sing ANYTHING and make it sound so wonderful. A true chameleon of a vocalist!! Should've had some country hits under her belt as well. But that industry can be tricky for certain folks. Nice to see her trying to break down early barriers. A forerunner for Beyoncé and Tracey Chapman of sorts. She's right, If u love something Do it, Sing it, Think it, Be it!! ❤❤ RIP
