Since when does mbta not stop at Route 128
@Tcostello105Ай бұрын
This is a super old video about 13 years old. They used to fly by Route 128 all the time but now not so much. Currently these are the train number's that bypass Route 128, Trains 806, 810 823, 827

The first bridge shown in the video is the one over Morse Street. It's been hit a number of times by trucks, the last time it was hit, not too long ago, resulted in the bridge being made unsafe to use. The entire bridge was removed and is now sitting on the tracks, effectively being used as a barrier to keep any trains from going into the gap left after removing it. I realize Tom is probably well aware of this situation. That means that this film Tom made of the bridge is now 'historical.' I haven't heard when a new bridge will be but in. Tom might know. I'd imagine all the material that had been delivered by train will now be delivered by truck. There are tracks going into the Bird facility from the other direction, but they were taken out of service years ago. I went through there today on my bike, and it's a jolt to see a big gap where the old bridge used to be. Thanks for posting this video. You did well to get the 3 bridges into the film - the one going over Morse Street, the one just off Pleasant Street that goes right into the Bird plant, and the bridge over Lenox Street, which is the one closest to Norwood Central station.

im gonna miss the old ones so much, the new ones are so sleek and nice but my main worry is the seating, the fixed seating is a terrible idea for amtrak as a whole and i worry that the seats on these new sets won't be as comfortable as the OG acela

@@KMH_28 oh I’m sorry this engine was released several years ago and is no longer in stock. eBay may be your best bet to find this engine.

i will never understand why they made this specific crossing so massive
@GWM_Clips2 ай бұрын
1. It’s on a big road, and that Cantilever exists for a big reason. 2. If that crossing didn’t have that Cantilever, making such large gates be extremely heavy for the mechanisms. 3. Trust me, There are MORE BIGGER crossings then this one.

Let me know the next time you're planning on filming somewhere between walpole and framingham. Maybe we both can fly our drones and get some really good pictures. My to-do list before the foliage flourishes too much is the Medfield Junction and a time-lapse of yard switching. And and yard switching.
