I love this general mode. But Rome battles are too fast for my liking, not just because it’s hard to control but units run and fight unrealistically fast. So I always slow down the action to about 0.4X using cheat engine. That way there is no need to pause, the battle feels more realistic and is easier to control too.

That's how the battles in Rome go across a campaign. In the beginning it's tough and chaotic because every (wo)man counts. Near the end, it's chaos because who cares😂

Remember when tactics mattered, and units acted like people and not robots without self-preservation? Good times.

And you can get rid of retinue you don't want, buy giving it to an old general. Once he dies the retinue will die with him

Its been 3 years but do you have a copy of this modified file? Soni can just copy and paste it? Cant seem to get it working for the life of me. I followed every step.

Oh, boy I didn't knew this was possible. Gonna try an Orthodox Sicily playthrough with this one. If I don't change the character sprites / looks, will they still behave and work like an orthodox priest,bishop,patriarch ?
