So I think people that refer to them as death plugs are talking about the plastic cups that get buried on soil. Not the spongey biodegradable moss plugs 😅

Wow plant looks fab! 6:39 Are u sure u weren't giving it more light (or was it in a window during a sun shift i.e. increase in sun? By sun shift I mean the sun moves twice a year--so for 6 mos. it's more south on either side of winter solstice and then more overhead 6 mos. either side of summer solstice thus shining more directly east/west & even into north windows a bit in late afternoon in summer. The reason I ask is bc leaves usually crinkle from higher light. Mine is fed weekly (Dyna Gro Foliage Pro 1/4 tsp/gal) but is in very high light so the leaves crinkled drastically. However, when I moved it back from the window but retained the same fert schedule, the new leaves grew out much flatter. Crinkling also seems to be said to be from high light from both what I've read and IME.

Beautiful tree. If you wanted to keep the original pot you could have shaken off much of the soil and reused the pot.

Hi I know this is an old post but I really hope you’re ok! I’m on my journey and so thankful I’m where I am today. I lost two children one 6 week old baby and a still birth at 36 weeks pregnant. I have two children now and they keep me going but I have also found a new passion for plants which I find really therapeutic and calming and is definitely helping me with anxiety and depression. Your videos are super helpful and lovely to watch so thank you. God bless and take care sending love from London ❤

Wow!! I just identified a plant, the only plant I have ever cared this much for and about in my life as a China doll and I'm so excited. I have become so attached to this beautiful plant that I bought at a grocery store for a couple dollars not even knowing what it was not having a clue that this plant will bring so much hapiness into my life. I know it sounds a bit dramatic but this plant has been through so much with me and represents perseverance and strength because all the hard times Ive been up against the last few years. Honestly, I thought it was a rose bush but its never grown anything similar to a flower ever but I love this plant so much I gifted it to my mother. I know she'll take as good of care as I would or even better. She knows how much I care for this plant, and I think she cares for it as well. Now that I know what it is, and it has such a cool name, I love it even more. Awesone video

@thatfoliagelife I was wondering how the notches worked out for your Fiddle Leaf Fig? I just repotted mine using your video. It looks great but I'm wondering if I should try to notch. I tried notching with 1 notch 1 time and it didn't work. Also, my stalk/trunk isn't very wide so I'm worried about weakening it. Many thanks for your help!

Thank you for posting these videos. I look forward to learning a lot from you. I am new to plants and propagating. I have gotten some really nice roots in water using drops that were recommended to me. 🤞🏻 my transitions to soil will be successful as well. I am currently trying to find which soil is best for pothos. I have several different kinds of plants. A local plant store unfortunately closed, and I purchased a variety on sale. What I would like to know is, how long should the pins stay in the soil to help with root growth. I have pinned a pothos plant (ty for telling us about the rust, I have to change my pins). I have the nodes in the soil the best I can. But, I'm not sure when I can remove the pins. I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you!

Thank you. I love my fig leaf trees. They are baminos . Got 2 for Mother's Day last year and now repoting. I named them after abbreviations of my 2 adult children. I needed to know all of this. I found your video and THANKS. Your plant is beautiful. I wish the best to you for it's next growth and development. 😊
