Edison is close enough to Pelé's actual name, Pelé being that brazilian soccer player that arguably was the best ever at it. So it's fitting that Edison should be the best Yu-Gi-Oh format 😂.

Just a quick note: RUM Soul Shave Force doesn't have to rank up into a Raidraptor Monster, it can go into any XYZ 2 Ranks higher. This card was often used to summon Cyber Dragon Infinity with Force Strix in Grave

The only thing you got wrong here that the SPYRAL link was actually not an OCG import. It was part of the main set core of CIBR. This means we would have always gotten it when it came over to the TCG and not up to Konami TCG to decide if and when we would get it as some import.

This is strictly incorrect. At the time, TCG core sets were structured with slots 1-80 being identical between TCG and OCG, slots 0 and 81-89 reserved for TCG Premieres, and slots 90-99 reserved for OCG Imports. SPYRAL Double Helix was released in Extra Pack 2017 in the OCG, similarly to how they released Beatrice prior, being an import set of TCG Exclusives with new support for those archetypes occasionally. We were never receiving that set in the TCG. We instead received the card in Circuit Break’s imports as set code CIBR-EN099, being the final of the allotted 10 import slots.

Ah 2016... the year I got back into the game after a 10-year hiatus. The Dragon Lord was my first product I purchased and I loved it and still wish they'd give Felgrand another proper retrain without necessetating the Battle Phase. I remember building Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician decks around the same time and my wallet bleeding. Circle cost me 150€ in a playset but I was over the moon that the cards that made me fall in love with this game had finally received good and coherent support. It's always a blast looking back at those times and realizing just how fast time flies...

Not calling out actively skipping POTE in the mega tin is a weird call. The best set within the reprint window getting skipped, holding sprite to become budget friendly as it slid to rouge drove me nuts at the time.

Fiber format which it seems like you missed is a format that also has 2 graceful and it is much better than joey-pegasus. Also i stand by the stein era formats actually being a lot of fun. Sure stein is pretty degenerate but it being around adds a fun mini game of getting your opponent below 5000 and while getting steind feels bad, the decks that rely heavily on stein brick pretty often and so plenty of decks play very minimal stein or no stein at all.

Hats a really good format to build rogue decks, since games tend to be slower, but the power level is high if you get plays through. No heavy and peoplr not wanting to random mst your backrow helps slow rogue and not many main deck mst helps combo rogue.

This may come across to others as unpopular and stupid, but I still think to this day that maxx c should of never have been hit. Even with 8 years of hindsight. Not saying it would of stopped any of the decks that would be good from topping, I think the TCG has been slightly worse than the OCG because of it. I don’t agree on taking away answers for the increased speed of the game. I will figh everyone on the hill defending maxx c.

I still remember that night the owner of the lgs I went to at the time being confused and stunned about that emergency banlist konami just dropped about Pepe. It didn't help he was also playing pepe at that time and I think he went back to kozmo shortly after.

these are really the best yugioh videos that exist. i hope you continue doing this until you are at the present or the newer ones you already made. i personally am very excited for 18,19,20, 21 i know most people hated these formats since they seem to have been terrible, but i dont really know a lot of these formats and having these high power degenerate decks being narrated by you will be amazing

I remembere buying Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer,knowing that it would become meta,around $13 a piece,however the price sky rocketed to around 40...the store i bought it from online,Overdose Gaming,canceled my order,daid they didnt have it and removed it from their online store,and offered a store credit...i said sure,and instantly they added back to the store at around $40.i was already on the fence about quitting the game,and that was the push that made me quit....Overdose Gaming,you crooks...lol
